Morgan and Stephen tied the knot on May 11, 2024 at Linwood Country Club. The couple originally met at a bar in Philadelphia, when Morgan ran into an old high school friend there who just happened to be Stephen’s college roommate.
“We were introduced that night, danced, had such a good time, and then we went our separate ways,” Morgan recalls.
A few months later, they reconnected when Morgan, who played on the softball team at Stockton University, had a game at Stephen’s school, Rutgers-Camden.
Stephen popped the question on the beautiful beaches of Aruba.
The couple wanted a “coastal feeling,” without being beachy, and Linwood Country Club fit that idea to a tee. Morgan and Stephen loved the venue’s back patio for cocktail hour—complete with bay views—fantastic food and “modern and simplistic feel” of the space, as Morgan describes it.
The couple held their ceremony at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Egg Harbor.
Morgan and Stephen chose light blue as their accent color, including bridesmaid dresses, bridal and bridesmaids’ bouquets, candles and reception centerpieces. The venue was very neutral with white and wood details, and the color worked beautifully in the space.
The floral arrangements, by Stemtations, were elegant yet playful. The reception tables featured a mix of arrangements; some had low vases full of flowers, and some tables had a mix of tall vases with just a few flowers.
All of the tables, as well as the staircase, were also filled with candles in a range of shapes and sizes.
The signage came from Jill DiBlasi with Signed with Love.
Cocktail hour was held in an outdoor tent with live music played by a member of the MissMusique string quartet.
Morgan’s gown, by Jane Hill from Day Dream Bridal boutique, was a sleeveless mermaid dress. She customized it by making the back portion see-through.
Their day-of coordinator, Ashley McMahon with the Local Look. She was my right hand, she handled everything that day,” says Morgan.
“I got a stain on my dress before my reception even started and she had a bar of soap and club soda waiting for me.”
“Remember why you’re getting married and what actually matters when planning a wedding,” says Morgan.”There are so many opinions out there and at the end of the day all that matters is your own! It doesn’t matter what everyone else likes or wants, as long as you and your significant other are happy—that’s it.”
Although the couple honeymooned in Barbados immediately after their wedding, Morgan advises waiting at least a week or two post-wedding to go away.
“Take some time to regroup the next day or two and take it all in with your friends and family, then go on that trip and enjoy,” she says.
“We went the next day and although we had an amazing time, we were tired!”
