Kristen and Leif at Judney Farms

My senior year of college, I met Leif on PlentyOfFish.com. I was home for winter break and was hoping to kill time before the rest of my friends returned home from their respective colleges. During the first date, we really hit it off and I knew I wanted to be with him. By our third date, a double date with Leif’s brother and sister-in-law, I went around saying I was meeting my future in-laws. What can I say, when you know, you know!Kristen and Leif at Judney Farms

Leif and I had a summer vacation planned for Germany and Croatia. I had made a detailed itinerary of our European trip, and starred all of the romantic locations for Leif to potentially propose. By the end of the trip, with no ring in sight, I was starting to believe a proposal wasn’t in the cards during this vacation. On our last day in Germany, Leif and I were walking on the sidewalk and Leif was lagging behind during our stroll; I turned around, and Leif was bent on one knee with a ring in his hand! It wasn’t planned, and it couldn’t have been better.Kristen and Leif at Judney Farms

After spending two years planning our dream wedding, Covid-19 hit and had us postpone our Cinderella wedding, not once but twice. For our third wedding date, we replanned our wedding in the span of six weeks, with a new venue on a smaller scale. After a search on Google, I found an outdoor rustic farm property that I was able to rent out. As a country lover, it was almost perfect that our glamorous ballroom wedding turned into a fun outdoor party.Kristen and Leif at Judney Farms

Judney Farms was the most perfect setting for our beautiful day. With it being completely outdoors, it made my wedding guests feel safe and comfortable amongst the global pandemic. The owner of the home, Jacqueline, was extremely helpful and attentive; she took every idea I presented to her and made my visions come to life in less than six weeks. I couldn’t have picked a better place for my wedding to take place, and it was almost like having Covid-19 cancel my first two attempts at a wedding was a sign.Kristen and Leif at Judney Farms

The Brownstone catered our wedding, and they most definitely lived up to their reputation. The food was fun and the suckling pig was a total hit! Our cake, a red velvet with cream cheese, was amazing but nothing compared to the vintage ice cream truck I rented for the evening. I strongly recommend Sip n’ Swirl ice cream rental if you are catering your own wedding; their ice cream packages were not only amazing, but truly delicious.Kristen and Leif at Judney Farms

My mom originally picked out my wedding gown in January of 2019, I was being stubborn and told her that I wanted a different gown, I couldn’t wear the dress she picked out. Four months later, at a different store, I tried on a gown and fell in love- buying it on the spot. Unbeknownst to me, it was the exact same gown my mom picked out that I originally shot down! It’s true what they say- mama always knows best.Kristen and Leif at Judney Farms

The wedding was such a fun and magical day from start to finish. My favorite part would have to be when I was dancing to SHOUT! on the dance floor with my hubby and closest friends between the hustle and bustle of photos.Kristen and Leif at Judney Farms

I’m happy to say, not one thing went wrong that day, that I know of. After the many hiccups Leif and I experienced planning the wedding, our wedding day went smoothly.Kristen and Leif at Judney Farms
