A Whimsical French Bistro Garden Wedding at Hotel du Village in New Hope

Hotel du Village

When Stacey and Onur chose Hotel du Village in New Hope, Pennsylvania for their July 10, 2026 wedding, it felt inevitable—they had spent years exploring New Hope on date nights, and the hotel’s romantic French aesthetic, European charm and intimate atmosphere felt, as Stacey put it, like a little piece of France in a place they already loved. Their summer celebration was a whimsical French bistro garden come to life: matcha green and soft pink throughout, romantic summer florals. Stacey wore two custom gowns, both designed and handmade by Onur’s grandmother at her Manhattan bridal shop over months of fittings.

Their Story

“Our story began thanks to a little bit of fate and a very important introduction from my older sister,” says Stacey. “What started as a simple connection quickly turned into something much more meaningful. 8 years and counting and finally able to say ‘I do!’”

The Proposal

“Our engagement took place during a couples trip to Charleston, South Carolina, with our best friends. What I thought was simply a fun getaway turned into one of the most unforgettable weekends of our lives when Onur surprised me with a proposal, made even more special by having our closest friends there to celebrate with us.”

Choosing the Venue

“We’ve always loved New Hope and spent so many date nights exploring the town, so getting married there felt incredibly special,” says Stacey.

“We fell in love with Hotel du Village’s romantic French aesthetic, European charm, beautiful grounds and intimate atmosphere it felt like a little piece of France in a place we already loved.”

Details of the Day

“Our day was inspired by a whimsical summer garden with a French bistro twist. Matcha green and soft pink set the color palette, complemented by romantic summer florals. Nearly every detail was handcrafted and designed by me, from our invitations and welcome sign to place cards, matchbox favors, His & Hers drink sign, sweetheart table banner, and more. Truly my labor of love!”

Favorite Moment

“My favorite moment was our first look. The second we saw each other, all the emotions of the day came rushing in. We cried, laughed, held each other, and just soaked in the reality that after all these years, we were finally about to become husband and wife. For those few minutes, everything else disappeared it was just us.”

Wedding Day Attire

“My bridesmaids wore a dreamy mix of pastels pink, orange, yellow and purple. Onur wore a custom suit handcrafted by a local, friend-owned tux shop. I wore two custom gowns designed and handmade by my husbands grandmother at her Manhattan bridal shop, a labor of love that took months and many fittings to bring to life.”

Advice For Other Couples

“Make your wedding feel like you, not what you think it’s supposed to be. Add the personal touches, embrace the little details, and don’t be afraid to do things differently. Most importantly, remember to slow down and take it all in the day goes by faster than you could ever imagine.”

Honeymoon

“We’re taking a delayed honeymoon to Turkey, my husband’s homeland,” says Stacey. “It will be especially meaningful to visit his grandma and spend time with family and loved ones who weren’t able to travel to the States for our wedding. We can’t wait to celebrate our marriage surrounded by his culture, family, and the place that is such a special part of him.”
