How did you meet?
Thomas and I met in high school. We started dating junior year. We have been together for 10 years now!

How did you get engaged?
We were traveling to Italy back in July 2018, and Thomas surprised me with a train trip to St. Moritz, Switzerland where we traveled through the Swiss Alps! He popped the big question surrounded by such gorgeous views! He hired a secret photographer (smart guy)!!

Details of the day!
Our big day felt like you were in another part of the world. Lots of neutrals, white and pale pink flowers, classic.

Why did you choose your venue?
Hotel du Village reminds me of a French Chateau.

What was on your menu
Hors D’Oeuvres: Crab cakes, Spring Rolls, Sliced Beef Tenderloin Crostinis, Spicy Korean Meatballs, Truffle Mushroom Tarts, Mini Lobster Rolls, Chicken Lolli Pops, Butternut Squash Bruschetta. For Small Plates: Grilled Harissa Shrimp and Egg Yolk Tagliatelles. First Course was a Mixed Greens Salad. Main Course Selection was either Halibut or Grilled Filet Mignon

All about your gown!
Cap Sleeves, Lace, beautiful long train. I wanted it to be timeless.

What was your favorite moment?
Finally having our reception. Our big wedding was scheduled for April, 2020. However, the pandemic changed that. We rescheduled for August of 2020 but it got rescheduled again. We decided to elope in Bar Harbor, Maine with our immediate family on August 24, 2020. This year, we had a 1-year “vow recommitment” on August 20, 2021, with all of our family, friends, and really could finally celebrate.

One detail you couldn’t live without?
The arch!! Lauren (my florist) made my vision come true.

Did anything go wrong?
I got some stains on my dress but worth it for the outdoor ceremony. Nothing the dry cleaner can’t fix.

First dance song?
Make you feel my Love- Adele

Any advice for future brides?
I know you can be easily swept up in small details but truly the only thing that matters is marrying the love of your life surrounded by people that mean the world to you.
