Meghan McCain and fiancé Ben Domenech became husband and wife on November 21st, with Meghan’s father right there by her side. With John McCain’s recent brain cancer diagnosis, the couple decided to move their wedding up to ensure that Meghan could have her father there on one of the biggest days of her life. Ben said that he knew “how important it was for Meghan to have her dad see her get married, and to have that happen while he was still fully there and fully able to participate.” The couple got married on the McCain family’s ranch right outside of Sedona, Arizona. Meghan said she was a relaxed bride and wasn’t caught up in all of the wedding details. Her brother physically walked her down the aisle and was greeted by her father at the end to give her away, since he had torn his Achilles tendon days before the actual wedding. Meghan wore a gorgeous lace gown and carried beautiful deep red flowers in her bouquet. They had greenery throughout the reception space and even some antlers scattered around the room. And that cake is something straight out of a woodsy fairytale. Ben’s ring had “Ride or Die” inscribed in it because during her father’s treatments, Meghan would text Ben saying that he was her ride or die. What a sweet way to add something sentimental into his ring! She said that the most important thing to her on her wedding day was that everyone had a great time. And I think that was definitely achieved!
