A trip to Italy was the first major vacation for Alyssa Cooper and her husband, James Cooper Jr. “Day by day, we fell more in love with each city we visited, the meals and gelato we had and, more importantly, with each other,” says Alyssa, who is Italian-American. “It was a trip that defined our relationship and I knew I wanted that to be included in our wedding festivities.”
A blue tile that they brought back from the country that says “Casa Cooper” inspired the whole aesthetic of the bride-to-be’s Italian-themed bridal shower at Piazza di Roma in Matawan. Her venue, which featured a white Vespa, white Fiat and colorful gelato cart, was the perfect fit. “An Italian-themed shower allowed the celebration to be infused with cultural elements that are near and dear to my heart,” she says.
