When Erica and Ben chose SkyView Golf Club for their June 5, 2026 wedding, they were looking for something that felt like them—elegant but relaxed, scenic without being over the top, and close to the Bergen County families who had watched their love story unfold. Beautifully photographed by Juliet Macey Photography, the celebration delivered on every count. Erica and Ben picked a soft, floral palette with the sky itself in mind: pale blue bridesmaids gowns, navy for the groomsmen, and creams, whites, pastel blues, and greens woven throughout the florals by Farmside Gardens. Blue carried into the linens, signage, and even the matchbox favors—each one featuring a small nod to their dog Callie.
Their Story
“Ben and I spent years running in circles around each other until when random night out changed everything,” says Erica. “We were competitive track runners from Bergen County, always in the same place at the same time. But in 2017, we met at a bar in Nyack by chance and instantly connected with so much in common.”
The Proposal
“After a global pandemic, law school, career changes and moves around NYC, Ben surprised me with a beautiful proposal in Key West, Florida,” says Erica. “We were on a trip for my 30th birthday and he planned the whole day, ending at sunset where he got down on one knee. Just the two of us, nothing crazy, it was such a special moment.”
Choosing the Venue
“We knew we didn’t want a super traditional wedding venue and nothing too lavish or over the top,” says Erica. “We love hiking and nature, so something with views was a huge bonus. Not too far from our family, SkyView was the perfect combination of elegance, scenery and vibes we wanted. The staff was also so professional and top notch. They made everything easy!”

Details of the Day
“Getting married in early June, we picked a soft color palette that would hopefully complement the gorgeous sky (hence SkyView’s name),” says Erica. “With a floral theme in mind for spring, bridesmaids wore pale light blue, with groomsmen in navy. Flowers complemented these colors with creams, white, pastel blue and green spread throughout the venue. Blue was woven in throughout the day with linens, signage and small favors- matchboxes that gave a little nod to our dog Callie.”
Favorite Moment
“From the gorgeous weather to seeing all our planning come together, it was magic from start to finish. Thanks to our vendors and venue, everything went so smoothly, and therefore we truly had so much joy to celebrate our love with our friends and family. Having a first look with Ben and sharing a moment just the two of us was extra special as well.”
Wedding Day Attire
“I bought my wedding gown from Amsale, and from start to finish they were excellent. My lace dress fit perfectly with the theme of the day and feel I wanted to capture on our wedding. Ben and his groomsmen had custom suits from Indochino. Bridesmaids wore gowns from Azazie.”
Advice For Other Couples
“Honestly, take breaks from social media! It’s so easy to compare yourself to others and second guess things when you chronically see things online,” says Erica. “While it is helpful for ideas and research, limiting screen time helped my stress levels and put me at peace.”
Honeymoon
“We took a 10-day trip to Italy the day after our wedding! We wanted a combination of exploring new cities and relaxing with beautiful views. We went to Florence, Rome, Milan and ended in Lake Como. It was both our first time in Italy and we loved every minute of it. We toured museums, saw art, and of course ate a ton of pasta!”
