Eucalyptus Green, Whimsical Florals & Romantic Rustic Vibes at North Shore House

North Shore House

Alessandra and Eric chose to celebrate at North Shore House in Lake Hopatcong—a family-run venue with an antique and rustic charm, lakeside views and an attached inn where the bridal party stayed the night. Their July 18, 2026 wedding was romantic and whimsical throughout: eucalyptus green bridesmaid dresses, roses, hydrangeas, bunny’s tail and soft pinks woven into every floral arrangement. The cocktail hour alone—lobster rolls, zucchini flowers, charcuterie, pistachio lamb chops, and signature Kentucky mule and Hugo spritz cocktails—had guests raving.

Their Story

“Eric and I have been together for 11 years. We met back in high school through mutual friends. We stayed together from high school through college.”

The Proposal

“Eric proposed on October 19, 2024 at Duke Farms in Hillsborough, a special place that we went on a date before.”

Choosing the Venue

“The venue, North Shore House, is a unique, family-run business, has incredible food, an antique and rustic vibe, has space for bridal party to stay over at the attached inn upstairs, and incredible views on the lake.”

Details of the Day

They wanted a romantic rustic vibe with eucalyptus green and light pinks. The flowers were mostly whimsical with roses, eucalyptus, bunny’s tail and hydrangeas. The favor was a French fry bar.

Favorite Moment

“After the ceremony we went upstairs to enjoy our signature drinks (Kentucky mule and Hugo spritz) as well as some cocktail hour food (lobster rolls, zucchini flowers, charcuterie board, pistachio lamp chops).”

Wedding Day Attire

“I wore a romantic fit and flare lace gown. Eric wore a black tux from Men’s Wearhouse. The bridesmaids wore eucalyptus green dresses from Azazie (they picked the style), the maid of honor wore a Jenny Yoo floral gown and the groomsmen wore black tuxes from Men’s Wearhouse.”

Advice For Other Couples

“Celebrate each little minute: every time you book something, celebrate it, every time you make a decision celebrate it. It goes fast and that really helped us slow down and enjoy the process. Also keep your phones away and off the whole day of the wedding to stay in the moment.”

Honeymoon

The newlyweds went to Maui and Kauai. “In Kauai we did ATVs, we went on a cruise, we hiked Waimea Canyon, went biking and spent time at the beach. In Maui, we spent a lot of time at the beach, enjoyed Musubi and had the best time at the old Lahaina luau.”
