Some wedding venues are just beautiful. And then there are venues that mean something. For Christina and Daniel, the Estate at Florentine Gardens in River Vale was both—the same place where they attended their high school prom together, a decade before they would stand at its altar as husband and wife. Their July 31, 2025 wedding, beautifully photographed by Derek K Photography, was a timeless and traditional celebration.
“Our love story began in the halls of PLHS, where shy smiles and poke wars quickly blossomed into something we could never live without. From awkward first dates at the movies to cheering each other on at soccer games and school dances, we grew not only as individuals, but together,” says Christina.
“As we navigated the ups and downs of high school, our bond only strengthened. We shared dreams, supported one another, and celebrated every milestone side by side. Prom night at Florentine Gardens was magical, but little did we know it was just the beginning of a lifetime of unforgettable moments and where we would find ourselves ten years later, this time standing at the altar.”
“After graduation, we embarked on new adventures but always remained each other’s constant. Whether it was surviving college on our own paths or exploring the world together, our love continued to stand the test of time. Each chapter brought us closer, and every day we fell more in love with each other and with the people we were becoming, together.”
“When Danny proposed in Charleston, the place where we always loved to share sunsets together, it felt like everything came full circle. And when we finally said ‘I do,’ surrounded by the people who supported us through every step of our journey, it became the happiest day of our lives,” says Christina.
Choosing the Estate at Florentine Gardens as their venue was easy since the couple had their high school prom at the venue and they are high school sweethearts.
They wanted the aesthetic to be timeless and traditional. Their favorite moment was their entrance. Danny and the guys wore tuxes from Biltmore Tuxedo in Ridgewood, the ladies wore dresses from Birdy Grey and Christina wore two Justin Alexander gowns, both from Castle Couture.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story. Our wedding day was the perfect beginning to this next chapter as husband and wife, built on years of memories, adventures, love, and a lifetime still ahead.
“Spend every moment together and enjoy every minute! It goes too fast!” says Chrisina.
And she offered some life advice too, “Life is short—live, laugh, love and forgive!!!!”
The newlyweds spent two weeks in Hawaii visiting Maui, Kaui and Oahu.
