Briana joined the Hoboken Ski Club looking for friends and fresh powder, but she found a husband instead. For their October 10, 2025 wedding, they chose the Inn at Millrace Pond in Hope—a historic Farmhouse and Gristmill venue that captivated them from the very first tour. Married outside at golden hour with sunlight filtering through the trees, surrounded by terra-cotta dahlias, ranunculus, and seasonal blooms in earthy apricot tones, Briana in a beaded lace Enzoani gown and Max in a fully custom Martin Greenfield tuxedo, it was the kind of day that felt as effortless and beautiful as the love behind it. Their Story
“I joined the Hoboken Ski Club to find girlfriends and fresh powder, never expecting to find a husband,” says Briana.
“But when Max walked into my trip meeting, everything changed. From chairlift chats to racing down mountains, our instant connection turned a shared hobby into a lifelong journey.”
The Proposal
“Max’s proposal at Deepcut Gardens was better than I ever could have dreamed,” says Briana.
“He even coordinated with my best friend to drive from DC just days before her own wedding! Seeing them there, with Max holding a ring he designed himself, I realized how lucky I am. He didn’t just plan a moment; he curated a memory filled with the people I love most.”
“The Inn at Millrace Pond was the first venue we saw and from the moment we stepped foot on the grounds we fell in love. Even after visiting other venues, we couldn’t get it out of our minds,” says Briana.
“The grounds were stunning and well maintained, the Farmhouse and Gristmill were historic and unique culminating in the most perfect and picturesque fall wedding.”
Details of the Day
“Everything about the vibe was natural color pallets and organic materials like wood, stone, and linens. We were married outside at golden hour with the setting sun poking through the trees on a crisp fall evening.”
“The flowers had a terra-cotta, apricot and earth tone pallet and were a mix of seasonal flowers including ranunculus, dahlias, lizzianthus, zinnias, barista roses and many more.”

Favorite Moment
“Seeing my husband-to-be for the first look,” was Briana’s favorite moment. “I was so incredibly nervous all day and the moment I saw him and touched his hands on the bridge it was as though a wave of serenity washed over me. Feeling that warmth and calmness was something I will never forget.”
Wedding Day Attire
“I wore Françoise from the Élysée collection by Enzoani, a Floral baroque lace with hand-embroidered beads and paillettes sparkles over delicate french chantilly lace,” says Briana.
“My husband wore a fully custom bespoke suite by Martin Greenfield Clothiers in Brooklyn.”
The bridesmaids wore mixed warm pallet dresses from Azazie and the groomsmen wore black Vera Wang suits.
Advice For Other Couples
“Always remember why you are getting married in the first place. Don’t lose yourself in the minutia while planning, this day is about marrying your best friend and spending that time with your loved ones.”
Honeymoon
The newlyweds went to Oahu, Hawaii and Maui. The bride describes the honeymoon as: “Hiking active volcanoes and national parks, snorkeling with sea turtles, whale watching, eating incredible food, exploring exotic beaches, coffee tours and stargazing at Mauna Kea…really connecting with our Aloha!”
