They Chose Birchwood Manor When Their Original Venue Closed—and Loved Everything About It
Their Story
Krista and Jeff tied the knot on August 4, 2023 at Birchwood Manor in Whippany. They originally met in college at a club baseball game, when Jeff was playing and Krista was keeping score.
The Proposal
Jeff popped the question on a bridge at a golf course.
Choosing the Venue
Krista and Jeff had originally booked the Manor in West Orange as their venue, but when the longtime wedding staple “abruptly announced they were closing six months before our wedding, we had to find a new venue,” the couple says.
They ended up choosing Birchwood Manor and loved it for the beautiful ballroom and “awesome” wedding coordinator, Farrell, among other reasons.

The couple worked with a color palette of blue, white and English rose.

“Finally getting to show off our first dance after taking lessons leading up to the wedding,” the bride says.

Advice for Other Couples
“Doing the first look and pictures before the ceremony was a great choice because we were then able to go to cocktail hour.
“Also, having some food brought up to the bridal suite before going into cocktail hour was great, since we didn’t have time to eat during it.”
Honeymoon
The couple spent their honeymoon in Bali.
