When Gabby and Erik chose the Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station for their May 15, 2026 wedding, they were drawn in by the beauty of the estate and the ease of having everything—ceremony, reception and accommodations—all in one place. Beautifully photographed by Bri Johnson Weddings, their spring celebration was a wildflower garden party in full bloom: bright, colorful florals spilling across every surface and Gabby in a floral gown she had spotted online two and a half years before the wedding. For a couple whose love story began on a work trip to Nice, France and whose engagement unfolded in a vineyard in San Gimignano, Italy, a wedding filled with flowers and natural beauty felt right.
Their Story
“We both work in the aviation industry and met working a trip to Nice, France in May, 2022,” says Gabby. “A couple months later we started dating. The first time we hung out was on a boat in the French Riviera. That set the stage for the rest of our lives.”
The Proposal
“We got engaged in a private spiral vineyard in San Gimignano, Italy on October 20, 2024,” says Gabby.
Choosing the Venue
The couple fell in love with the Ryland Inn and loved that it was an all-in-one venue. “The spaces are beautiful and we wanted on-site accomodations.”
The theme of their day was a wildflower garden party with bright, colorful spring florals everywhere.
Wedding Day Attire
Erik loved having a nice custom blue suit that was not the usual black or grey. Gabby looked gorgeous in a floral gowns, which supported the theme of the wedding. She saw her dress online 2.5 years ago and knew she wanted it.
Advice For Other Couples
“Book early!” says Gabby. “Find vendors with great reputations and excellent communication.”
Honeymoon
“Our mini-moon is planned to Santa Barbara, CA the end of August. Our honeymoon will be two weeks in Scandinavia in 2027.”
