Everyone’s Favorite Moment Was The Downtown Stroll From the Chapel to the Reception at Historic Hotel Bethlehem
When Belle and Ryan chose Historic Hotel Bethlehem for their May 2, 2026 wedding, it was personal from the very start—Belle grew up in Bethlehem and had always loved the elegant landmark hotel, and Ryan fell for it just as quickly on their first visit. The venue’s proximity to the Moravian Chapel made the decision easy: guests could walk seamlessly from ceremony to reception through the heart of downtown Bethlehem, turning the transition into one of the most memorable moments of the entire day. Beautifully photographed by Douglas Benedict Photography, their spring celebration was classic and refined throughout.
Their Story
Ryan and Belle met while competing on the Shippensburg XC and track and field teams. They went from teammates to lifelong partners!
The Proposal
Ryan proposed on a Brigantine beach on the first night of Belle’s family beach vacation.
Choosing the Venue
Belle grew up in Bethlehem and always loved the Hotel. Ryan quickly fell in love with the elegant space as well. They wanted a venue that had a church within walking distance for an easy travel day for all guests. After visiting the hotel, they knew it would be perfect for their big day.
Details of the Day
It was an elegant wedding with black and gold/champagne accents. White roses and baby’s breath were the flowers of choice.
Favorite Moment
The bride and groom’s favorite moment was walking from the Moravian Chapel, where the wedding ceremony took place, to the hotel for the reception! It was so convenient and a great way to embrace downtown Bethlehem in the celebration.
Wedding Day Attire
The groom and groomsmen wore black tuxes. The bride wore a strapless A-line dress from Silk Bridal in Easton, PA. The bridesmaids wore matte satin gold dresses in the styles of their choice.
Advice For Other Couples
“To future brides and grooms, enjoy each step of the planning process, but don’t forget the most important detail of the day is the promise you are making to one another! It is easy to get caught up on little things. Hotel Bethlehem allowed us to be involved in the planning while also being present for all the exciting moments, while they handled the rest!”
Honeymoon
The newlyweds enjoyed a week trip to Antigua and Barbuda! They stayed in an all inclusive bungalow with their own swim up infinity pool. One highlight was the snorkeling trip in one of the island’s famous reefs.
