A Black-Tie Summer Wedding With Handmade Favors at Mansion at Mountain Lakes

Mansion at Mountain Lakes

BrookLynn and Joseph’s July 25, 2025 at Mansion at Mountain Lakes, which was photographed by TMT Weddings, was everything they’d imagined: a black-tie ballroom celebration with light yellow and white florals, lemon sorbet bridesmaids, a surf and turf dinner and handmade favors—including homemade vanilla coconut chapstick and the family’s treasured honey cinnamon butter served at dinner—that made the day feel as personal as it was polished.

Their Story

“We met on Sunset Beach in Treasure Island, Florida,” says BrookLynn. “We had spent the day making eyes at each other, and as I was leaving he ran up to me and said he couldn’t let me leave without getting my number.”

“We went out together that night and ended the night with a walk on the beach to the rocks where we saw a shooting star. He moved from New Jersey to Florida so we could be together a few months later. We decided to move to New Jersey shortly after our engagement.”

The Proposal

“We got engaged two years after we met during sunset on the beach at Treasure Island after spending an amazing day together on the beach and grilling out. I was looking out at the water, and when I turned around he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him.”

Choosing the Venue

“Our July wedding at Mansion at Mountain Lakes was an absolute dream come true!”

“This was the first venue we toured in our search for a place to get married and we knew it was the one right away! No need to look any further, because The Mansion is the absolute best!”

“We chose the Mansion for its timeless elegance and knowledgeable staff. We felt like a king and queen the entire evening and even during the wedding planning process. The Mansion’s staff is very accommodating to your needs and helping you create your vision come to life. They are complete pros at what they do and make the entire planning process and wedding day a breeze. The venue itself is very elegant, beautiful and modern. The food is five stars!”

“Our guests are still raving about how it was the best wedding they have ever been to! A night that not only we never will forget, but neither will our guests!”

Details of the Day

“We had a black tie summer ballroom wedding. The Mansion was decorated in light yellow and white flowers with glass vase candles,” says BrookLynn. “We had a traditional Catholic ceremony with prayers, blessings, sharing a cup of wine and beautiful music.”

“I handmade all of the signs, seating cards, and guest favors that included homemade vanilla coconut chapstick and Jordan almonds. I even made our family’s traditional honey cinnamon butter to be served with dinner.”

“Our menu consisted of an Italian hors d’oeuvres cocktail hour and a surf and turf dinner. It was a classy day filled with champagne flutes upon arrival and during toasts. We had a beautiful three-tier cake from Calandra’s Bakery and cut it in the middle of the dance floor.”

Favorite Moment

“My favorite moment was saying ‘I do’ to my absolute dream husband and having our first kiss as husband and wife!”

Wedding Day Attire

“I wore a light ivory tunning lace applique bodice embellished with diamonds and pearls with convertible off-shoulder swag sleeves. My dress was an elegant chapel train with a side slit and hidden pockets. I wore a chapel length veil studded with pearls and gold and diamond crown with it.”

“My husband wore a black tuxedo with black silk trim and black silk tie with a light ivory shirt and pocket square. The bridesmaids wore lemon sorbet dresses of all different styles and the groomsmen wore black tuxedos with lemon sorbet ties and lemon sorbet pocket squares.”

Advice For Other Couples

“My advice for other couples is to stay by each other for the entire night! We never left each other’s sides and enjoyed every moment of our special day together. Remember the day is about YOUR LOVE.”

Honeymoon

“We went to the Dominican Republic a week after our wedding. I highly recommend giving yourself some time before your honeymoon to relish in your memories from your wedding night, recoup and pack at ease.”

“We stayed at an all inclusive resort by the sea for 10 days and relaxed and went on excursions. My favorite thing we did on our honeymoon was swim with sharks!”
