We want to hear about your engagement— submit your story here!

Jennifer-Kyle-EngagementHow did you meet? We met while both working at a hotel in midtown Manhattan. We quickly started making it a point to go to lunch together, make coffee runs to Dunkin’ Donuts together, and spent time together on the company softball team. If only I had known sooner that Kyle actually hated coffee and used those coffee runs just to spent time with me!

Jennifer-Kyle-EngagementWe went on our first date on December 19, 2016, when we shared Cheesesteak Eggs rolls at Dewey’s, which was around the corner from our hotel. Ever since that day, we have been inseparable. You can most likely find us doing something unique and exciting. Whether it’s a local New York Ranger game, flying to Dallas for the Cowboy’s home opener, or driving 8 hours to the middle of no-where Oklahoma, we are always up for an adventure.

We knew shortly after we began dating, that we wanted these adventures to last forever.

Jennifer-Kyle-EngagementWhen did you get engaged:

10/14/2017

Where did you get engaged:

Northport, NY

How did he ask?

On a rainy day, we went to visit a farmer’s market by the Northport Harbor in Long Island. We went with Kyle’s brother Brett, and his girlfriend Samantha, who were in town so they could all go to the Patriot’s game the next day. Little did I know, there was never any true plan of going to the Patriot’s game. They were actually in town to help them get the most amazing proposal pictures. Kyle told me that he thought it was a good idea to go take pictures down by the water so they could have nice pictures with the help of Brett and Sam.

Jennifer-Kyle-EngagementWe went down by the water with umbrellas and I didn’t suspect a thing. After we took a few pictures, Kyle turned to me and told said that he wanted to spend every rainy Saturday with me, FOREVER, and asked me to marry him.

Jennifer-Kyle-EngagementKyle had arranged for both of their families to be at his parents house when they returned from the park. It was such a secret that when I face timed my parent’s after saying YES, they had to hide in front of a white wall to not give away that they were already in Northport!

It was a perfect day to start the rest of their lives together.
