How did you meet?

Jimmy and I met during the summer of 2013 in Manasquan, NJ. As single, beach-loving, carefree individuals, we joined the same shore house not knowing that the summer would change our lives forever! The house was large and had many summer shares, but we crossed paths on Saturdays because we both enjoyed ‘Boat Days’ to Treasure Island or F-Cove. The Saturday ‘Boat Days’ together soon turned into nights, where we enjoyed listening to live bands at Osprey and danced the night away.

claire-jimmy-engagementAfter the summer shore house weekends ended, we kept in touch since both of us lived in the same area and shared the same love for Hoboken, NJ. A few weeks into September, Jimmy asked me on our first ‘official date’ to Amelia’s Bistro in Jersey City. From then on, we were inseparable, and the rest is history! We chose the month of September to get married because it was the month where their official love story began!

Where did you get engaged?

Hoboken Waterfront Pier, Hoboken, NJ

claire-jimmy-engagementYour engagement story:

Jimmy knew how much I love the NYC skyline view , so he planned to ask me to marry him at the Hoboken Waterfront. Waterside walks after dinner are a favorite activity of mine and breathtaking NYC view will never get old. The week of the proposal, I was preparing and interviewing for a new job, and had no clue my life was about to change forever! On Friday, after I had signed the offer, we went out for a celebratory cocktail followed by a walk to the Waterfront Pier. As soon as they reached the middle of the Pier, positioned in front of the Empire State Building, Jimmy got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Jimmy had his friend and photographer hide at the Pier so he could capture the moment.

claire-jimmy-engagementJimmy chose to have a special private night with me to soak it all in and enjoy all of the engagement bliss. The next night, we celebrated our engagement with friends at Cafe Michelina for dinner, followed by a night of dancing listening to The Amish Outlaws at Willie McBride’s! It was an amazing night that turned into a week-long celebration of love as that next week was Thanksgiving, and both families came together to celebrate the future Mr. and Mrs. Caposello!
