If the ideal getaway is a balance of a beautiful location, fun activities (including the pampering variety) and luxurious accommodations, the Inn at Perry Cabin is, indeed, ideal.

The Colonial-style resort is located on a private  corner of the Eastern Shore’s Delmarva Peninsula in St. Michaels, Maryland. The resort sits on 26 acres, that include the original inn, formerly a private residence built in 1816, and expanded over the years to include 78 guestrooms (30 suites and 48 guest quarters
spread across multiple dwellings). Rooms are spacious and tastefully appointed, blending early-American style furnishings with modern touches like overstuffed chairs, subtle nautical accents, French doors, serene views and suites with fireplaces.

Tuck in for much needed R&R, breakfast on the balcony, or head out to the historic town of St. Michaels to peruse shops and learn about local history. No trip to the Inn is complete without a cruise around the bay.

The property maintains an impressive fleet of vessels that guests can book for various excursions.

Sail to nearby Annapolis, Maryland’s capital city, a historic 18th century district with cobblestone streets, a naval history museum and the stately 1700s Maryland State House.

Other activities include crabbing on the Chesapeake, biking, kayaking and more. If golf is your game, the Links at Perry Cabin has you covered. The premiere 18-hole course is framed by the tall grasses and sea views. A visit to the spa is another treat, or loll an afternoon away at the infinity pool. For meals, head to the acclaimed Stars restaurant that serves local fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as classics such as house-made pastas, steaks and duck.

The Inn, with its warm, friendly service and restful environment, is a perennial respite for many guests—who return for any order of celebration: anniversaries, birthdays, girlfriend getaways, or no occasion at all—year after year. When you  exit, you won’t say “goodbye,” but  instead, “see you next year.”
