Details of my day:
My ceremony took place in a traditional old Hoboken Catholic church, to which we arrived in a classic white Rolls-Royce.
Our wedding was marked by vintage details, like silver mercury glass accents, and a Frank Sinatra singer.
Our waterfront venue, the Liberty House, hosted an exquisite cocktail hour complemented by breath-taking city views. Our colors mixed of shades of purple for the flowers: we used lilacs and deep purple for contrast.
We balanced the purples with white: a stunning white cake, white paper lanterns, and the candlelit venue.
Ours was an overall modern vintage white theme with a city vibe.
My wedding dress was Pronovias Balear, an ivory lace mermaid dress with built in train, accessorized with Pronovias 10 foot scalloped lace trim cathedral style veil and Pronovias embellished belt.
My Badgley Mischka Tiffany-blue embellished heels were paired with a vintage purse, Kleinfeld diamond earrings and Bloomingdales 3-strand pearl bracelet.
My favorite part:
I loved riding in the vintage car to the gorgeous old church, and the views of the NYC skyline. Celebrating with friends and family from both near and far, and being lifted and tossed in chairs at the reception by our friends.
Advice for other brides:
Take it all in from the planning to the wedding day – your special day will go by so fast. Take a moment to just enjoy and look around at everyone that came to celebrate with you. Relax, don’t stress it will all work out! Plan ahead and make every part of the planning process fun and memorable. Enjoy your honeymoon to the fullest as it is the only time you will probably be able to take two weeks away from life!
