Their Story

Ariel and Steven wed at Renault Winery & Resort on September 8, 2022. The couple met at the age of 10 and ended up becoming “your typical high school sweetheart football/cheerleader couple,” and progressed to a more serious relationship in college.

The Proposal

Steve popped the question during a private boat ride on a romantic 2021 trip to Italy.

Choosing the Venue

They chose Renault Winery & Resort because of the beautiful outdoor ceremony space and the warm, rustic feeling in the ballroom.

Details of the Day

Ariel and Steven wanted a romantic feel, with light cream colors and pops of blush pink. They decided against have a bridal party.

“We really wanted our friends and family to enjoy the ceremony and party as guests, and selfishly we wanted our ceremony to be about us,” saysAriel.

They did, however, have their dogs walk down the aisle.

A modern seating chart welcomed guests into the space, which was adorned with blush details.

The tables were designed with blush, white and gold details. Pink champagne glasses were there to toast the couple.

Later in the night, the couple surprised guests with an outfit change and a second entrance into the reception, complete with sparklers.

Ariel’s Jimmy Choo shoes were perfect to pair with her chic mini dress and gloves that read “To Have And To Hold” on one hand and “To Love And To Cherish” on the other.

Advice for Other Couples

“Have fun planning together. So many couples rely solely on a wedding planner or let the bride go at it alone,” the couple says.

“We had so much fun doing all of the planning together, DIY projects, picking our vendors and all the small details.”

They also suggest taking a honeymoon right away “while you are still on that love high. After all the planning it takes, you deserve it!”

The couple traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where they stayed at Esperanza, an Auberge Resort.
