Details of the day:
Our wedding day was truly a dream come true. The designer of my dress was Ines Di Santo. My mom, sister and I went to a trunk show at Bergdorf Goodman and I was able to meet Ines herself! The dress was called “Cherise.” It was gorgeous! It was an Italian Silk Shantung trumpet gown with crystals and pearls. The bridesmaids were very different. The girls wore royal blue evening gowns by LaFemme and my sister, who was the maid of honor, wore a royal blue trumpet made by Jovani. The flowers were lavender roses and white hydrangeas and all the other details of the wedding were gold and silver. Everything looked beautiful. I had a vision!
The church was Saint Rose in Belmar, in which we had a beautiful traditional mass. We took pictures at Monmouth University, where my husband and I both graduated. Our reception was at the Addison Park, which was not only beautiful, but the service was unbelievable.
Not only was this day the best day of our lives, it was the start of the best time of our lives. My husband and I have been together for six years. We were friends in high school before we started dating in college. We went through a lot together, one being opening a restaurant during our engagement! Our love and support for each other has brought us to where we are today. We are so happy and blessed!
My favorite part:
My favorite part of the day was walking down the aisle at the church. I am very emotional and always cry at weddings. However, I did not cry! I was so happy and excited I couldn’t cry. The feeling I had was indescribable and the look on Ryan’s face I will never forget. Also walking down the aisle with my Dad was such a special moment. This is the day I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl!
Advice for other brides:
My advice for brides is to just enjoy every moment. Ryan and I had a two-year engagement. We really enjoyed this time and the excitement of planning for the wedding. Do not stress over the little details because everything comes together!
