How did you meet?
We met thanks to the best millennial wingman, a dating app!

How did you get engaged?
Mike proposed in Paris at midnight, while watching the Eiffel tower twinkle from our hotel balcony.

Details of the day!
Our wedding was a beautiful garden wedding at The Park Savoy. We both prepared for the day in their bridal suites. Our ceremony took place in their chapel, followed by an inside/outside cocktail hour, and the reception indoors. Mike’s favorite color is yellow and mine is blue, so we incorporated both into our day. Our flowers were yellow, blue, and white. The bridesmaids wore light blue dresses and the groomsmen wore blue suits. The groomsmen also wore floral ties and pocket squares that were yellow with blue flowers. We had a bubble exit from the ceremony and a sparkler exit from the reception. With our Paris engagement, we included a few details in the entryway, such as an Eiffel Tower and Paris sign.

Why did you choose your venue?
The Park Savoy offered the ability to host our entire wedding day while keeping a sense of movement and change of scenery. The new chapel has a rustic vibe with exposed wooden supports and dark wood flooring. Our cocktail hour was inside and outside. People were able to roam through the gardens and enjoy the overlook. Finally, the reception hall felt grand with a fairytale vibe. In addition, The Park Savoy offers amazing food; the options for cocktail hour and Viennese dessert are endless. They will even customize elements for you if you would like something beyond what they typically offer. Lastly, the service was unmatched. From our first visit with the venue, we could tell their attention and care for each wedding and determination to make clients feel like family. We felt like royalty on our wedding day, as did our parents!

What was on your menu?
Aside from the included cocktail items and pass around items, we had the Tex-Mex Station, Pasta Station, Park Savoy’s Famous Lobster Mac N’ Cheese Station, Nanina’s Famous Hot Italian Seafood Station, Ocean Slider Station, Grill Station, European Carving Station, and Chicken and Waffle Station. For dinner, we had Salmon Oscar, Chateaubriand, Chicken Caprese, or a Vegetarian Tower. Our cake from Calandra’s was two flavors. We had chocolate cake with raspberry and vanilla cake with custard and fresh strawberries. For dessert, we also had a Viennese Station.

All about your gown!
My gown was all lace with a scalloped train and sparkles throughout. The front and back of the dress had pearls lining the straps and bodice. The sides were see-through, dipping down just past my waist. The back dipped low and had buttons starting from the top and continuing down the entire train. I also added a cathedral-length veil with matching lace around the edges.

What was your favorite moment?
Our favorite moment was our ceremony. We wrote our own vows which were special and emotional. Love and Light Officiants let you customize the ceremony as well so the entire service felt personalized and touching. My husband and I laughed, cried, and everything in between during our ceremony.

One detail you couldn’t live without?
We loved that The Park Savoy allowed us to have our dog at the wedding! It made the day all the more special to have her as our flower girl, walk down the aisle, and take pictures with her. Another special detail was using the sequins off my mom’s wedding shoes in my bouquet. It made my bouquet feel more sentimental.

Did anything go wrong?
Our wedding went perfectly! The only hiccup was in the morning when my maid of honor’s husband was in a car accident with their daughter. Luckily everyone was okay and she was able to arrive only a couple of hours late.

First dance song?
We had our band do a mash-up of Ed Sheeran “Perfect” and Elvis Presley “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Any advice for future brides?
You can never be too far ahead in planning and preparing. Something will sneak up last minute and the more prepared you are, the better you will be able to handle the last-minute details.

Honeymoon Location?
We went to Hawaii and visited 3 islands: Maui, Hawaii, and Oahu
