How did you meet?
Neil and I met in Baltimore while working at the same hospital. I was working as a neurodiagnostic technologist and Neil worked as a medical sales representative. We started out as friends, but we reconnected after he moved to Charlotte for work and I ended up down there for nursing school! We instantly hit it off and the rest was history. Fast forward a year, we moved in together, got engaged, started building our dream home, and also planned our dream wedding!

How did you get engaged?
My family goes on vacation to Aruba every August, but last year Neil and I weren’t going to go because of nursing school, work, COVID, etc. However, last-minute I decided to surprise my family, especially my twin sister, for our birthday. Little did I know that Neil was planning to propose to me the night before and it was the most amazing day of my life. It was so unexpected and I am so happy that we were able to get engaged in front of my family!

Details of the day!
We were going for a very romantic and glamorous wedding vibe. Our bridesmaid dresses were a beautiful, champagne satin and the groomsmen were all in black suits. Flowers were lush, beautiful, classy, and elegant, and I could never picture something more perfect for our wedding. I had all frosted acrylic signage with gold foliage and lush flowers added – Creationari is incredible! The pictures speak for themselves!

Why did you choose your venue?
The Park Chateau is just the most perfect venue in New Jersey in my opinion. It is so gorgeous and elegant and exactly where I pictured myself getting married. The convenience of having a chapel, venue, and hotel within walking distance was also a huge bonus for us as we had so many guests coming from out of town.

What was on your menu?
Where to begin here… The Park Chateau had SO MUCH FOOD. Our guests are still raving about the cocktail hour and dinner. The food was incredible!

All about your gown!
I went to Kleinfeld’s for my wedding gown and ended up getting the first dress I tried on! My dress was everything I hoped for – lace, sparkle, Old Hollywood vibe. I felt absolutely gorgeous in my dress and knew as soon as I tried it on that it would be the dress I wore on my wedding day!

What was your favorite moment?
Honestly, my favorite moment was the first look with my husband. I was SO nervous getting ready all morning, but as soon as we had our first look, my nerves were instantly at ease.

One detail you couldn’t live without?
My green wall with our neon sign! So simple, but this was my favorite decoration and aspect of our wedding! It was so beautiful!

Did anything go wrong?
If anything went wrong, I didn’t know about it! The staff at the Park Chateau and my wedding planner Jenny, took care of everything. I knew they had everything under control, so I just relaxed and enjoyed our day!

First dance song?
The Way You Look Tonight – Frank Sinatra

Any advice for future brides?
Embrace the whole day and just take a moment during the wedding with your husband/wife to just take it all in. Look around at all the people who came to celebrate you and savor every second.

Honeymoon Location?
We went to Antigua – Cocobay Resort!
