Amanda and Gino at Maritime Parc

Posted on November 29, 2019 by Ariana Baio

Five years after we met, we were in New York City, and Gino made arrangements to go to dinner and then to the Empire State Building. He couldn’t believe I had never been to the Empire State Building. The view of the city skyline was beautiful, and that’s when Gino popped the question I said, “Yes, Yes, Yes, hurry put the ring on my finger before I drop it over the observation deck!”

Our wedding was a touch of luxury that was simple and clean. I knew I wanted an all-white wedding and expressed to my planner, Simone Vega of Coordinated To Perfection, that I didn’t want things to feel overdone. I love simple and clean lines and we definitely had touches of that in our wedding day decor. We also used a lot of glass and mirrors that paired well with the open space of Maritime Parc. In most of our wedding floral decor, We used white Calla Lily’s which always scream modern and clean to me.

We chose Maritime Parc for the view! The New York City skyline was a must for us. We also wanted a venue with a blank canvas where we could incorporate our own style and design. With a lot of hard work from us, and our wedding design team, our venue was breathtaking and everything we dreamed of.

Our menu consisted of a mixture of foods from both of our cultures. There were Italian and Spanish cocktails plus some of our traditional foods. The cake sat beautifully on a custom table that we had made by Jai Event Rentals. We also decided to add a passionfruit mousse dessert which is a favorite of ours!

I wanted a form-fitting dress with a plunging neckline, illusion back, touch of crystal and lace, with a stunning train. The gown was decided on and fitted a week before my wedding, due to major complications with my original dress. Unimaginably, it was my dream dress!

The moment we met at the altar.

The serpentine tables! We wanted a modern feel, not the traditional round tables with linens.

Absolutely nothing went wrong on our wedding day. At least I didn’t hear of it.

We danced to, “No One” by Alicia Keys.

Enjoy every moment, it’s over so quick!

We didn’t plan an actual honeymoon due to limited time off from work. A few days before the wedding, we booked a trip to return to Negril, Jamaica, as this was one of our favorite vacation spots.
