There’s a new venue in town that would make the ideal location for your hip metropolitan wedding—here in New Jersey. Maritime Parc opened this past fall in Liberty State Park at the marina in Jersey City, and it’s such a great space. The interior boasts a contemporary décor that acts as a blank canvas for any sort of design you envision. Hold your ceremony on the third floor with its vaulted wood ceiling, then move the party down to the second floor. Both have spectacular wrap-around terraces (where you could also host a sit-down dinner) with some of the most amazing views of Manhattan—it feels like you could reach out and touch the twinkling lights.

The dramatic modern staircase at Maritime Parc connects all three floors, while the third floor’s wood-paneled cathedral ceiling (below) creates an ideal ceremony space, with views of Manhattan just out the window.

There’s also the first-floor restaurant, which features New American cuisine, an open kitchen, extensive raw bar, wine library, and signature microbrews, making it an ideal rehearsal dinner location. Maritime Parc can accommodate from 50 to 1,200 guests, depending on which floors you use. There’s even an outdoor tent that can be set up adjacent to the facility. Your options here are endless, and it’s the perfect compromise if you have tons of friends living in the City, yet family is from N.J. Maritime Parc is just a seven-minute ferry ride from the World Financial Center, and there’s also access to the PATH train. We have a feeling that this one will book up fast for 2011. We are beginning to look for a wedding venue. Can you give me an idea of pricing for about 150-200 people for the reception and the ceremony with you. We are thinking fall 2011 or summer 2012. thanks!
