Small intimate weddings for less than 50 guests have always been an option in New Jersey, and now with the current restrictions on indoor dining, they’ve become a necessity—and what everyone is looking for. They remove the biggest wedding planning concern right now: When will it be safe to get married? Here we’ve complied a list of venues in New Jersey that are currently offering micro weddings…
Andres Lakeside, Sparta. Lakeside ceremonies and tented parties for up to 80.
Basking Ridge Country Club, Basking Ridge. Includes picturesque ceremony, photos, flowers, champagne and cake. Tent on premises.
Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel, Asbury Park. Catering now run by Albie and Chris Manzo. Many options for micro weddings include rooftop deck with ocean views, patios and gardens.
Biagio’s Ristorante, Paramus. Unique outdoor rooftop terrace for 50 or more guests for your micro wedding. They also offer separate indoor cocktail rooms, a grand ballroom, color-lit waterfalls and state-of-the art lighting.
Bridgewater Manor, Bridgewater. Includes area for ceremony, photos, rose bouquet, boutonniere, champagne and cake.
Boathouse at Mercer Lake, West Windsor. Host your ceremony and micro wedding overlooking lush park greenery and a picturesque lake.
The Chateau Grande Hotel, East Brunswick. This brand-new luxury hotel is a destination unto itself in Central New Jersey and is the perfect spot for a micro wedding. Celebrity chef partner David Burke produces intimate weddings here, either in the Angelique Ballroom or in Orchard Park’s 1,500-bottle wine room with a glowing pink Himalayan salt-brick wall. This chic, modern and luxurious venue also offers guest accommodations and a hip vibe for your micro wedding.
The Cranbury Inn, Cranbury, NJ Rustic venue and smaller rooms make this the perfect intimate setting for your micro wedding.
Crossed Keys Estate, Andover. Ceremony location options include the choice of gardens, lawn or tent. Lawn games and welcome refreshments are included.
Crystal Plaza, Livingston. Gorgeous gardens, patio and gazebo for outdoor ceremony; impeccable service.
Drifthouse by David Burke, Sea Bright. The Drifthouse restaurant offers amazing ocean views from the outdoor deck, along with fireplaces and artwork inside. David Burke is also offering micro weddings at Ventanas in Fort Lee and Orange Lawn in South Orange.
Embassy Suites Berkeley Heights, Berkeley Heights Their gorgeous glass-enclosed Solarium ballroom is perfect for a micro wedding of up to 36 guests. They also offer other outdoor patio areas and an outdoor ceremony amphitheater.
Fernbrook Farms, Chesterfield. A variety of different micro wedding packages are available at this 230-acre active farm with 1750 Georgian manor house. Outdoor ceremony in the garden followed by the opportunity to take photographs through the grounds, or have dinner for you and your guests with sparkling wine toasts, charcuterie picnic baskets for guests, wine and dine duet plated dinner, gourmet wedding cake, overnight accommodations and continental breakfast.
Gran Centurions, Clark. Micro weddings, from 40 to 100, are held outside under a tent and inside in the large ballroom that holds 400 people. Packages start at $67.95 plus tax and service charge.
Liberty House, Jersey City. Boasting unsurpassed views of the New York City skyline, Ellis Island, Lady Liberty and Liberty Marina. Liberty House, located inside historic Liberty State Park, offers micro weddings with outdoor ceremony spaces, lush gardens and outdoor patio spaces.
Main Street Manor, Flemington. Elopements and micro weddings in the garden include bride’s bouquet, groom’s boutonniere, celebration toast, hot hors d’oeuvres, wedding cake, overnight stay and breakfast the next day.
Mayfair Farms, West Orange. Micro weddings are tastefully done and offered indoors or outdoors on this 13-acre property with expansive gardens, organic vegetable garden and stone barn.
MC Hotel, Montclair. This hip hotel in the heart of Montclair offers a rooftop deck with views of NYC for micro weddings for 10 to 50 guests.
Natirar, Peapack-Gladstone. Micro weddings held at both Ninety Acres and the Mansion. Includes full open bar, cocktail hour, three-course plated dinner and cake.
The Olde Mill Inn and Grain House, Basking Ridge. This beautiful 10-acre estate offers an outdoor ceremony location near a stream, along with gorgeous gardens, outdoor courtyards and guest rooms perfect for your micro wedding.
The Park Villa, South Plainfield. This new venue is able to accommodate micro weddings of 50 guests or more. An outdoor garden and patio, with a gazebo and fountain, are the perfect setting for your ceremony, photos and reception.
Perona Farms, Andover. Outdoor and tented options through October. Fire pit, wood farm tables, lush lawn.
Pierre’s of South Brunswick, Monmouth Junction. Here you have the choice of five different banquet rooms for your micro wedding for 25 or more. There are beautiful staircases for photos, outdoor fountains, a gazebo and a separate bridal room for cocktails.
Raritan Inn, Califon. Riverside ceremonies and outdoor, tented receptions on the patio, along with a rustic barn, set on 24 acres.
Red Barn, Carneys Point. For just $295, The Red Barn will host your micro-wedding. The package comes with an officiant, a take-home wedding cake, ceremony music, a first dance and a livestream broadcast to friends and family via the internet.
Ryland Inn, Whitehouse Station. This luxuriously elegant yet rustic former inn and barn offers gorgeous private outdoor courtyards, patios and ceremony spaces for your micro wedding.
Seaview, Galloway. Ceremonies and celebrations can be held at two of Seaview’s outdoor venues, including the Bayview Terrace, lined with lush landscaping, gazebo, fountain and soft lighting and the Centennial Pavilion, which has a vine-draped pergola and views of the wooded Pines golf course. Intimate indoor wedding ceremonies may be held in the grand main dining room, offering large windows with unobstructed panoramic views of the sprawling golf course, the bay and the Atlantic City skyline.
