Recently, the Sareh Nouri flagship salon (previously located in the Mall at Short Hills) opened in Livingston Town Center. Outfitted with sofas, grand mirrors, and racks of bridal dresses, evening gowns and accessories (veils, bridal robes and headpieces), the 5,000-square-foot salon is spacious yet cozy. High ceilings and exposed air ducts create a warehouse-chic vibe in the salon, which features gowns handpicked from each season. Since she lives just five minutes from the salon, we’re told that Sareh comes to the flagship store often. Maybe she’ll be there during your appointment!

In summer 2023, the resort opened the Big Sky Pavilion, a seasonal 7,800-square-foot space that offers breathtaking views of mountain landscapes and sunsets, located at Grand Cascades Lodge. Set in a glamorous, white tent, the space accommodates about 400 guests, and is open mid-April through mid-November. In fall 2023, the resort also opened the Canyon Ballroom, located in Minerals Hotel. This venue can accommodate up to 500 guests. The room features a stunning bar made from Vendome stone.

In May 2022, Edgewood Country Club completed its outdoor ceremony space located behind the clubhouse and next to the patio and pool. There is access to the outdoor ceremony space from the parking lot, so guests can be ushered directly to the area without going inside the venue. The platform in the front of the ceremony area features a handicapped-accessible ramp on the side. Although this expansive outdoor space is well-landscaped with seasonal flowers and trees, some couples choose to bring their own arch and decorate it with florals.

The space boasts 35-foot ceilings with floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as 360-degree property views. Unique spherical chandeliers dazzle from above. Folding patio doors open to the courtyard where guests can enjoy the outdoor space. An enclosed passageway to the farmhouse makes for an effortless transition to the reception for guests.

Rustic yet elegant, Farm on Main is a unique venue opened in September 2023. Located 15 minutes from Long Beach Island, this restored farm has a small orchard, a chicken coup and horse stables. The nearly 20-acre property “just calls for entertaining,” says owner Jessica Scangarello. The secluded facility offers many spaces. The starlight barn is very rustic with metal siding and is used as a welcome area for guests. Ceremonies are often held on a large lawn. The Forsythe barn overlooks a pond and is the main event space for the cocktail hour and reception. The farmhouse building as well as a loft space in the Forsythe barn are used as getting-ready spaces. There’s also a charming wooden swing that couples use for fun photos. thefarmonmainnj.com
