Barns continue to be the rage in New Jersey, and here’s a great new location. The Sterlingbrook Farm in Pittstown is now open to the public as a brand-new wedding and event venue. Originally opened in 1979 as an equine veterinary clinic and racing stable, this newly renovated barn is set on 175 acres and is the perfect rustic setting for your wedding. Ceremonies and receptions can be held either inside the barn or out in the field. The rental fee is $3,200, and it holds a maximum of 100 guests. (908-303-5444).
Here, Kristin Rockhill of Details of I Do in Princeton styled Sterlingbrook in a fabulous boho style, complete with her signature style of glorious flowers and fabulously clever props and details. “This has a farm-to-table vibe that is a little bit hipster with boho details and a touch of whimsy,” she says. “This working farm with an onsite romantic and cozy barn is the perfect setting for an intimate wedding filled with personal touches and unexpected vignettes.” We just love the bread bar, pie cart, signature drink station, vegetable accents and vintage crates—all perfect ways to dress up any rustic space.
