“Kevin and I met when he was a freshman in high school, and of course being a “big time” sophomore, there was no way I was going to be dating a freshman. Fast forward a year later and we started talking more, just as friends, until he kissed me out of no where in the hallway in front of all his buddies! Needless to say, we’ve been dating ever since. We’ve had our ups and downs, but it only made us stronger as a couple. After a few of our close friends were getting engaged and married, of course I was patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for Kevin to propose, especially because our 10 year anniversary was coming up. “I was actually talking with a few of my friends from school the day we got engaged about how I was extremely hopeful and thought that he was going to propose on our 10 year anniversary, because he told me he had a romantic dinner planned in a private section at a nice restaurant. Little did I know, and I’m usually good at finding things out, that he had planned to propose in the city the day before our anniversary. Our plans fell through and I went to his house 2 days before our anniversary, which is December 23rd. He told me he had an early Christmas gift for me and I said “Eh I don’t want it, I can wait Christmas is 4 days away.” “Once I said that, he started to get really anxious and nervous, and at that point I knew something was going on. So, I told him if he wanted to give me my early Christmas gift he could. Next thing I know, he was on his knee while I’m sprawled out on his couch, totally exhausted, asking me to marry him. I was in such shock that it didn’t hit me that we were finally engaged until a few hours later when I started hysterically crying! I kept saying, “I can’t believe it, we’re getting married! I am so lucky I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend for the past 10 years!” “We took some of our engagement pictures at our high school, because that was where our love story began. Our photographer, Michael Romeo, completely blew our expectations out of the water with them. He is so fantastic! We are so excited to start the next chapter of our love story at the Westmount Country Club on October 6, 2017.”
