How did you meet: After months of SAT prep, accepted student days and high school graduation parties, it was time for Ryan and Caitlin to begin their freshman year at The College of New Jersey. Caitlin-Ryan-EngagementOn August 20, 2009, they packed up their parents’ cars with seemingly everything they owned (and then some). As fate would have it, Ryan and Caitlin were assigned to live on the same floor of the same freshman dorm. Now, here it could be said Ryan and Caitlin locked eyes across the parking lot that day, while carrying boxes of cleaning supplies that would never be used, and instantly fell in love. Caitlin-Ryan-EngagementOn the contrary, Ryan and Caitlin actually cannot pinpoint the very moment they met that day. However, the rest of freshman year (and the eight plus years since) would result unforgettable memories that brought them together forever. Caitlin-Ryan-EngagementWhen did you get engaged: 07/02/2016 Where did you get engaged: The Campus of The College of New Jersey Caitlin-Ryan-EngagementYour engagement story: On Fourth of July weekend 2016, Caitlin’s parents were organizing a Fourth of July party at their home in Bordentown, NJ. Caitlin thought the party was going to be like any get together her family hosted -burgers and hot dogs on the grill, beer in the cooler and a great time with family. Little did she know, Ryan had planned an elaborate surprise that would make the weekend unforgettable – the proposal. Caitlin-Ryan-EngagementOn Saturday, July 2, 2016, Caitlin, Ryan and Caitlin’s sister Jen went on a picnic to where Caitlin & Ryan met – the campus of The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. Caitlin & Ryan loved to go on picnics in fun places, such as Central Park and Governor’s Island in Manhattan, and had discussed going to TCNJ for a picnic for a while – so Caitlin was completely oblivious to what was about to happen. After eating lunch, Caitlin, Ryan and Jen went on a walk around campus. After stopping for photos at the fountain in the Science Complex, Ryan turned to Caitlin and professed his love for her. To say Caitlin was completely astonished when Ryan went down on one knee and popped the question would be an understatement. After some stunned silence, she (finally) said yes Caitlin-Ryan-EngagementTo make the day every more special, remember that Fourth of July party her family was planning? It turned out to be a surprise engagement party with Caitlin & Ryan’s families and best friends. It was one of the best days of their lives. Caitlin-Ryan-Engagement Our wedding venue, the Princeton Tower Club, is one of Princeton University’s renowned “eating clubs” during the academic year. Caitlin’s uncle has been the manager of the Princeton Tower Club since she was a child. Countless family events and holidays have taken place at ‘Tower’ – birthdays, graduation parties, and even other weddings. Caitlin and Ryan are thrilled to keep the tradition alive and make yet another amazing family memory at Tower! Caitlin-Ryan-Engagement
