Baby, It’s Hot Outside

Posted on July 02 by new jersey bride

There’s nothing more refreshing than an ice-cold drink on a hot summer day, so be sure to include this must-have “arrival cocktail” as you plan your summer wedding. If you’re having an outdoor ceremony, tent wedding, backyard affair, pool party, patio shower or courtyard rehearsal dinner, think of some yummy, ice-cold concoction to serve: raspberry lemonade, mint juleps, sangria, Arnold Palmers, peach coolers, blue Hawaiians, pomegranate punch or Pimm’s Cups, just to name a few. And while many love their liquor, many guests do not, so be sure to offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic variations, properly labeled. My favorite presentation is on a silver tray via a tuxedoed server (let him sweat, not your guests!). This is one of the very first impressions of your event, so you need to set the stage properly. Your guests will be very thankful as they take their seat with a cool drink in hand. And happy guests make happy brides. Enjoy, and let me know which drink you choose!
