Nunziatina and Nicholas’s June Wedding at Pleasantdale Chateau
From the guests’ point of view…
One night out at a mutual friends house and the rest was history for these two! Nunziatina and Nicholas dated for four years before he popped the question at what turned out to be their engagement party on the very same night! Two years later, the couples wedding ceremony took place in Nunziatina’s high school chapel, Mount Saint Mary Academy in Watchung. The bride wore a stunning, custom made, off the shoulder Ines Di Santo satin ball gown with Swarovski crystal embellishments. Nunziatina’s bouquet complemented her gown with a soft mix of white garden roses, sahara roses, white ranunculus and tuffs of hydrangea. The groom and groomsmen wore tuxedos by Jos. A. Bank and the bridesmaids wore fit and flare Lazaro gowns with a crystal embellished sash along with small train in the back. A breathtaking estate situated on forty acres of beautiful manicured gardens, woodlands, meadows, and ponds, was the venue for this formal reception. Upon entering the front doors, guests were enchanted with the romantic feel of the Pleasantdale Chateau. The guest walked around the private estate, drinking cocktails, eating food from around the world and feeling the atmosphere set by pillar and votive candles placed around the Chateau. Lanterns were placed in the l’orangerie. Cocktail hour included the bride and grooms favorites such as escargot and even a large ice sculpture shaped as an ancient Japanese ship that overflowed with raw bar selections.
As cocktail hour ended, guests were asked to move into the reception room and were overcome with surprise by the grand ballroom. Guests sat at tables around the dance floor, with the entertainment opposite to the ballroom entrance. The flowers from Crest Florist in West Orange were arranged on each table with three different high, medium and low looks with a mix of centerpieces wrapped with moss and willow. There was a beautiful dimensional arrangement on top and the flowers consisted of antique hydrangea, roses and hanging amaranthus all with lit votive candles and rose petals at the base. After dinner, cordials and cognacs were passed on a cart to each table while everyone enjoyed a duo of 24 karat gold dusted chocolate ganache tart. The wedding cake consisted of a four-tier red velvet cake with white chocolate mousse and was decorated with a bow and Swarovski crystal brooch and cake topper.
Lastly, just when the guests thought it was time to go home, the couple announced there was an after-hours party. The Chateau provided sleeping accommodations in their guest houses. The day was beyond spectacular and the Pleasantdale was perfect for such a fairytale wedding.
