Lindsay and Teresa tied the knot on April 25, 2024, at Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant.
While on Bumble one day, Lindsay Tobey became so frustrated with the dating game that she threw her phone onto the couch.
Her sister picked it up, saw Teresa Yeager’s profile and asked Lindsay if she was interested in her. “You can definitely swipe right,” Lindsay recalls saying.
It was during the pandemic, so Lindsay, 27, of Freehold, and Teresa, 25, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, got to know each other through virtual dates. As their love grew, the pair enjoyed watching sports together and walking on the beach.
“Our communication skills are definitely top-notch,” Lindsay says. “We can always tell when the other’s upset, and we know when to give each other space or when we need a shoulder to cry on.”

On January 30, 2022, Lindsay turned Teresa’s college graduation photo shoot into a proposal as she dropped to one knee under the gazebo at the Taylor Pavilion in Belmar.
Then, they went to Lindsay’s parents’ house to celebrate. But Teresa had a surprise of her own. She asked Lindsay to watch a video montage of their love story.
Then, Lindsay went to the basement where she found their loved ones gathered and a rose petal-lined aisle with Teresa standing at the end, where she popped the question. Both brides-to-be were ecstatic.
“It was really nice that we both got to have our little moment,” Lindsay says. The dual proposals were not a coincidence: After Lindsay made her plan, her mother and best friend encouraged Teresa to propose on the same day.

Lindsay and Teresa were married on April 25, 2024, in a beautiful ceremony at Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant.
They carried matching bouquets and wore similar beaded lace gowns and fingertip-length veils. The event featured pretty pastels, with Lindsay’s bridal party in pale blue and Teresa’s in lavender.
Their beloved golden retriever, Kody, dressed in his doggy tuxedo, posed with the brides at their first look. He was well represented during the wedding, too—the signature cocktails included the Kody Boy, a little dog figurine sat on their cake, and the couple danced with a large cardboard cutout of Kody.
The reception featured a few beachy elements: The escort cards were custom beach tags, and the table numbers were photos of numbers written in sand.
The couple enjoyed their first dance to “My Person” by Spencer Crandall as a smoke machine and sparklers added to the mood. “We definitely had our princess moment,” Lindsay says. “I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Lindsay loved when they were announced as “Mrs. and Mrs.” for the first time and she got to kiss her bride.
Their guests waved pride flags as the song “For Life” by Kygo played. “It was awesome to see our family and friends smiling and clapping for our love,” Lindsay says.
A light-up sign that read “The Tobeys” sat beside their sweetheart table and was a popular spot for photo ops.
The couple enjoyed a Mediterranean cruise to Spain, France and Italy and are home now in Brick.
