Jackie and Andreas tied the knot at the Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station on May 20, 2023. They met on Bumble during a freak snowstorm in November 2018. They went on their first date a few days later.
Andreas popped the question while the couple was vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. “It was exactly what I had told him I wanted the proposal to be like (no one else there, no one hiding behind a busy capturing everything on an iPhone), and I appreciated that he took that to heart,” Jackie says.
The couple loved the rustic and elegant feel of the Ryland Inn.
The vintage-inspired day featured mostly white flowers, with pops of pink and mauve, and lots of greenery. The mauve tones coordinated with the bridesmaid dresses and other decor items.
Jackie’s favorite moments included seeing Andreas during their first look and “turning around the corner to walk down the aisle and seeing him waiting for me at the other end.”
Andreas’ favorite moment was seeing Jackie during their first look. I was nervous beforehand, but being able to see her before the ceremony helped me feel a lot better,” he says.
Jackie wore hairpins restored from her mom’s wedding headpiece from 1989.
