How did you meet?
Joey and I are High School sweethearts; we started dating in May of junior year in 2011.

How did you get engaged?
After a happy hour bike ride to Bird and Betty’s in LBI, Joey asked if I wanted to bike to our “gazebo spot” to take pictures of the sunset. We pulled up, parked our bikes, walked up the ramp to the gazebo and there was a heart made out of clams on the floor. I said “omg how cute, look someone made a heart of clams!” I had zero clue Joey had caught the clams the day before and had the photographer set them up for his proposal! Clamming is our hobby that we have done together for years!

Details of the day!
I wanted our wedding day to be light and airy, so our photographer would really complement everything. The flowers in my bouquet were peaches, ivories and whites, to honor my grandmother’s favorite color, peach. The guys wore a linen sand suit and my girls were in sage green. I wanted everybody to feel comfortable so the girls got to choose their style dress from Birdy Grey and the guys did not wear ties. I was big on greenery and simple floating candle votives.

Why did you choose your venue?
Not only is Bonnet Island the area where Joey asked me to be his girlfriend and his fiancé, but it is the perfect combination of beachy and rustic.

What was on your menu?
We had a raw bar cocktail hour with many passed hors-d’oeuvres. The main course had option between chicken, halibut, or Filet. Our cake was a naked vanilla buttercream.

All about your gown!
My Pronovias gown had a high neck illusion lace on top with a thin belt and a sheath bottom with a long train. I didn’t want too much lace and feel it had the perfect amount! I visited six stores and I tried this one on at my third stop. After my next three, I really liked one but I told myself to go back and try this one on again. And I didn’t leave the store without it!

What was your favorite moment?
My favorite moment of the entire wedding was our ceremony, given by Joeys brother, Jeff. It was beyond our imagination and such a gift to have him up there with us.

One detail you couldn’t live without?
My nanny’s name on a pin on my dress made me feel like she was with me all day and my poppy being one of Joey’s groomsmen.

Any advice for future brides?
Don’t sweat the small stuff DAY OF! We spend hours, days, weeks, months, years speaking with vendors and planning our perfect day for them to not approach us on the day of. It is in evitable that they will approach us with some sort of question or problem. Do your absolute best to not let it overwhelm you. I let it overwhelm me, and I regret it. And I’ll never forget my friends who have already been married seeing it in my face and telling me to let it go and the focus on the moment.

Hawaii – Maui, Kauai and Oahu.
