Victoria and Paul tied the knot on July 3, 2024 at Park Château Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick. The couple met through friends in December of 2019, just three months before the pandemic.
Both out in Hoboken, Paul was out with his guy friends and Victoria with her girlfriends. “Two of our friends knew each other and decided to met up at Madison’s in Hoboken, where they introduced us,” she says. “We went on our first date two days later and from there the rest was history!”
The couple got engaged in Bryant Park in New York City at Christmas time. “What I thought would be a fun Christmas date night out turned into the biggest surprise and best night of our lives,” says Victoria. “We started the night touring the Christmas lights in Dyker Heights and then made our way to Bryant Park’s Winter Village, where Paul popped the question in front of the Christmas tree. There was a photographer hiding in the background to capture the entire moment and it was the most perfect proposal.”
“Park Château was my favorite venue for a long time—before we even got engaged,” Victoria says. “I had seen it on Instagram years ago and saved it, knowing that when the time came I would absolutely need to go tour it as an option. It was our first venue that we saw and after that nothing compared. We knew it was the exact vision we were going for and everyone was so helpful and kind right away, it felt like the perfect fit.”
“We wanted our wedding to feel really timeless with pops of small details that made it feel unique to us,” says Victoria. “Because we were in the height of summer, we wanted it to feel like a summer garden with tons of flowers everywhere, specifically hydrangeas and roses.”
They kept the colors simple with a lot of white, champagne and greenery within some of the floral arrangements. “We worked with Dahlia Florals who made our flowers more than just arrangements; they were true works of art that guests could enjoy and take photos with,” Victoria says.
The couple also “leaned into the small details with our monogram throughout the venue, chair sashes that made the reception room pop, drink stirrers featuring our dog, Sammy, in his very own signature drink (Sammy’s Spicy Margarita), and so many more,” Victoria says.
“We kept the party going throughout the night surprising our guests with the Cannoli Guy and Curbside Confections on the way out. We wanted our guests to feel entertained throughout the night with lots of fun surprises throughout!”
The couple’s first look was their favorite moment. “The second I saw Paul all of my nerves disappeared and I was so happy to finally get to start the day together,” Victoria remembers.
“As a close runner-up, our second favorite moment was when our dog, Sammy, joined us for photos. He looked so handsome in his tux and he was so happy to be there.”
“Our favorite wedding detail was definitely our monogram! We had someone design the monogram for us and then we used it in so many places throughout the day to make everything feel like it had our personal little touch on it.
“One of my favorite places we had the monogram was at the top of the runner in the Chapel—it made the entire room feel so personalized and special. We also had it on our dance floor, our menus and our candy bags that guests got to take home with them at the end of the night.”
Enjoy the planning process.
“I know everyone says that, and it’s hard to do when you’re balancing work, planning a wedding, life, and so much more. But the day itself goes by so fast and seeing all of your planning come to life is truly the best feeling. So even though it’s a lot, try to enjoy the chaos of planning—it doesn’t last forever! It truly is the best day and enjoying the journey that gets you to that day will make it that much more special,” says Victoria.
