Tiara and Antonio at Leidy Farm

Posted on November 02, 2017 by New Jersey Bride

Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding Your story: After many years of looking for their soulmates, Tiara Leidy and Antonio Cavalcanti-Nascimento met each other on Christian Mingle of all places! God saw fit to bring a girl from New Jersey and a guy from England together, despite there being an ocean between the two. Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding It took three years of traveling back and forth between countries, long calls over Google Hangouts, and getting through lots of red tape until the two could finally have their “happily ever after.” Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding Will you marry me? After a lovely dinner at Marchello’s Restaurant in Downtown Hammonton, one November night in 2016, Tony took Tiara to her favorite coffee shop, Casciano’s. It was there Antonio proposed to Tiara with a beautiful diamond halo and morganite ring. Of course, she said yes. The color palette was pastel and included, honey, lilac, peach, blush, and leaf green. Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding Why did you choose your venue? My mother has been planning on me using her 10-acre farm for my wedding venue since I was 3 years old! I wouldn’t let her down 🙂 Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding   Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding Your menu: The delicious menu provided by Summit Catering included hors d’oeuvres served promptly after the ceremony, salad, entrées, tea and coffee during the reception, and ended the night with heavenly desserts such as ice cream, cookies, and cake. The wedding cake itself had raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. When I saw the dress, I couldn’t believe it was in my price range. After ensuring that Blushing Bridal Boutique was as perfect as it sounded, I ordered the dress and scheduled to have it tailored by Sew Happy by Ang. My tailor Angela said she had never worked on a gown with such incredible quality before and that it was a true work of art! Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding What was your favorite moment? My favorite time was the moment I finally saw all the millions of details overseen by so many wonderful people come together to create the fairytale wedding of my dreams. It didn’t seem possible that everything would be so perfect until the moment I was walking down the aisle. I guess one standout detail would be the crown. I wasn’t sure I’d be brave enough to wear it, but I’m so glad I did. It really created the look I was going for. Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding Another stand out detail would be the beautiful swing my mom and Savannah’s garden put together. It turned out to be a huge “photo op” magnet for the wedding party and guests alike! Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding Did anything go wrong? For two weeks, the weather forecasters predicted thunderstorms and temperatures in the high 90’s! What a relief that on the day of the wedding, it turned out to be sunny and went only up to 89 degrees in Shamong. It was still hot, but so much better than what we expected! Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding The only thing that did go wrong was: 1. One of our flower girls broke down in tears when walking the aisle. Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding 2. Our pastor messed up when he attempted to announce our last name at the end of the ceremony. You can’t blame him though with a name like Cavalcanti-Nascimento! Tiara-Antonio-Leidy-Farm-Real-Wedding Advice for other brides: Don’t be afraid to delegate some of the details of your wedding to others. Definitely make sure that those who help you are people you can trust, but it’s ok to let go of some things and let others take the lead. That way you can focus on the decisions and details that are most important to you and you get to enjoy watching the process unfold! Also, sometimes things don’t seem that they’ll come out just right until the last minute. But if you place your trust in good, quality people, have faith…it will!
