How did you meet?
We went to middle school and high school together and we finally started talking when Peter was overseas in Italy and I was here in the U.S. Peter was in the Army Airborne and was coming home two weeks later. After that, we did 3 years long distance!

How did you get engaged?
We got engaged on the beach in North Carolina. It was two weeks before Peter got deployed to Iraq.

Details of the day!
Our wedding had a winter wonderland theme as we got married in February. Our colors were blue slate, white, gray, and some greenery. With our wedding being in the winter, I wanted to have as much greenery as I could to have a little bit of a romantic feel to it. I ended up loving everything even having a fur shawl because it gave such a unique vibe. For our favors, we did a card insert of our puppy that we adopted from Home For Good. Which, had all the information about the organization if people also wanted to contribute. Our favors had some chocolate kisses to go with Valentine’s Day. We also did a donation to Home For Good in lieu of favors!

Why did you choose your venue?
I actually was not going to look at the Tides Estate because I was more interested in a rustic look. However, I absolutely fell in love with the Tides! It was the one the second I walked in. The fairytale vibe and big ballroom was such a dream and everything I could have ever imagined.

What was on your menu?
Our menu had a little bit of everything for cocktail hour! I wanted a wide variety as I come from an Italian family and pasta, seafood, carvings and much more we needed! Then our dinner options also included sole stuffed with crab, filet mignon, and chicken. Our cake was vanilla with Bavarian cream!

All about your gown!
My gown was absolutely amazing! When I first tried on dresses, I always imagine a big ball gown however, each one I tried on, I seemed like I was getting lost in or it didn’t feel right. But the second I tried MY dress on, it fit like it was made for me! My dress was gorgeous the day of my wedding and I could not be happier with it. The details from the lace and beading were perfect.

What was your favorite moment?
My favorite moment was walking down the aisle with my father to my husband. It was just a moment I imagined my whole life; it was everything I could have wanted.

One detail you couldn’t live without?
I could not live without my amazing glam team. Both Natasha and Veronica did amazing! They both were so helpful in keeping me calm and wanting my visual look to come alive. They both exceeded my expectations.

Did anything go wrong?
Yes! My maid of honor’s dress actually ripped as she was zippering it up! Thankfully we were able to fix it!

First dance song?
Nobody but you by Blake Shelton

Any advice for future brides?
My advice is to try not to force everything to be perfect. Enjoy every second because it goes so fast. Remember, everyone is there to make your day amazing.

Honeymoon Location?
Hawaii!!! We went first to Oahu and then to Maui! It was the most amazing place I have ever been to and would love to go back someday.
