Sarah and David wed on June 8, 2024 at Nanina’s in the Park.
Their Story
Sarah and David grew up in the same town and met in high school.
“We had mutual friends, and one day after getting my drivers license we all decided to hang out,” says Sarah. “We were both 17 and we have been together ever since!”

The Proposal
His family frequents the Royalton Resorts and the couple has been on vacation there before.
“He had told me months prior that he had to use the money he saved for a ring to fix his car,” says Sarah.

“Jokes on me,” she adds, “he already had the ring and had asked my parents. He proposed in the Dominican Republic and planned a whole photo shoot to surprise me!”

Details of the Day
The bride wanted everything to be light, airy and dainty with a little bit of glam.
“The venue itself was beautiful and I did not want to take away from that,” says Sarah.

The bridesmaids wore a beautiful light pink color and the groomsmen were very classy in black.
The florals were all white/ivory with minimal greenery. Plus, a lot of candles were used in the ballroom as “I wanted it to feel like a fairy tale,” says the bride.

Choosing the Venue
They chose Nanina’s in the Park because “we truly felt like family there,” says Sarah. “It’s the most gorgeous venue that gave us all we needed and more. All of the management was super helpful and made our day truly special.”

Favorite Moment
“My favorite moment was walking down the aisle and seeing my best friend waiting at the end of it,” says Sarah.

“It was so magical as the doors opened and I walked down the aisle to meet him to begin our ceremony,” she adds.
Detail They Couldn’t Live Without
The couple chose to do a ring blessing. “We chose to not have a ring bearer and instead, my brother-in-law (David’s 17 year old brother) walked the ring down the aisle and began our ring blessing,” explains Sarah.

“Our immediate family and grandparents all got to hold the rings and bless them before we exchanged,” she says.
Wedding Day Attire
“I actually had a first dress and hated it,” says Sarah. “So I got a new, very simple A-line strapless glittery dress and it was so me!” She also wore Stuart Weizmann heels with a bow on the back.

David had a custom made suit and the bridesmaids had dresses from Revelry.
Advice for Other Couples
“Do the first look!” says Sarah. “It was such a sweet experience and we read our vows in private. It was so intimate and I do not regret it at all! It was the best choice we made.”

Honeymoon
The newlyweds went to Royalton Cancun in Mexico for a week. “It was so fun and relaxing,” says Sarah.
