How did you meet?
Ryan and I went to high school together. We were very close friends since we were 15 years old. We shared lots of classes together in high school and I always had a crush on him but we only remained friends. We didn’t talk as much throughout our college years but we reconnected again about 6 and a half years ago and really hit it off romantically. We’ve been together ever since!

How did you get engaged?
We got engaged in the Amalfi Coast, Italy! It was a beautiful vacation filled with lots of good food and tons of love! Ryan asked me to marry him on our balcony overlooking the Mediterranean.

Details of the day!
I wanted to have an overall classic, elegant, and garden feel to our wedding day. Growing up in the flower industry, I have always been surrounded by plants and flowers. It was so important and special that our wedding venue portrayed this as well. The color scheme for florals was very soft summer colors- ivory, white, pale pink, and mixed greenery. The bridesmaids wore slate blue and the groomsmen wore black.

Why did you choose your venue?
My family owns a flower shop- Gray’s Florist (it has been family owned and operated for over 100 years!) I work in our wedding department (wedding coordinator) at our flower shop and I have worked on lots of weddings for beautiful brides. When we chose The Madison Hotel it was so important to have the garden, floral aspect. What better way to display this than getting married in a greenhouse! Our amazing team of designers and my family brought the room to life even more than I could have imagined! It was truly a magical garden. It was so special for my father to help make our floral dreams come true with gorgeous flowers. And it was so fun for me to finally plan my wedding flowers!

All about your gown!
My gown was the second dress I tried on and I immediately fell in love. I wanted something that was unique and that I had never seen before at other weddings. I also loved that it incorporated florals (of course) and roses. Which was very special to me and our flower shop

What was your favorite moment?

My favorite moment was our vows. They were so personal and special and truly depicted our love story. There was not a dry eye in the room

One detail you couldn’t live without?
Flowers!

First dance song?

Any advice for future brides?
Keep calm! All will go as planned and it is going to be the most magical day of your life. Also, don’t forget to eat that day! It is such a whirlwind of a day and I wish I was able to eat more!

Honeymoon Location
St. Lucia! Ladera. The hotel was absolutely incredible. We did the 3 wall concept. This means that the fourth wall was open and we were literally sleeping in the jungle surrounded by nature in the mountains! It was stunning. It was such a unique and unforgettable experience!
