Their Story

Olivia and Jason tied the knot on April 15, 2023 at Batello in Jersey City. They grew up in the same hometown but didn’t become close friends until after college.

The Proposal

Jason popped the question while the couple was staying down the Shore.

“I knew Jason really wanted all elements of our engagement to be a surprise,” says Olivia. “However, the week of the proposal he was on a call with one of his best friends from college. He was on speaker and his friend asked about the proposal! After an awkward silent pause, we laughed about it and Jay tried throwing me off (and did so successfully).

“He told me not to make plans for the following Thursday night. And we left it at that. So, when he proposed just a couple of days later, I was not at all expecting it!”

Choosing the Venue 

Olivia and Jason loved the rustic-chic atmosphere of the Jersey City venue, plus the gorgeous views of the New York City skyline.
