An Elegant Affair Full of Food, Drinks & Fun at The Venetian

Nicole and Anthony tied the knot on June 1, 2024, at the Venetian.

Their Story 

Nicole and Anthony met when they were 17 and 19 respectively. “As that Ed Sheeran song goes, ‘we were just kids when we fell in love,'” says Nicole.

“To this day we look back and are astonished it was eight years ago! Time flies when you are spending it with the love of your life.”

“From our instant connection to discussions on our values and what we both wanted for our futures—that made our beginnings and everything in between leading up to our magical day and beyond all the more joyful,” says Nicole.

The Proposal 

The couple got engaged at the Shard in London.

“He took me by surprise with a stunning private room on the forty-second floor of The Shangri-La on a beautiful sunny day in July,” she says. “Little did I know he had hired a company called The Proposers based out of UK. They took what was a normal hotel room and turned it into a private fine dining room with magnificent rose petals in the shape of a heart, pictures in elegant frames, a customized playlist, and a ‘Marry Me’ sign all put together by their team of engagement planners.”

“He customized our four-course menu with free flowing champagne and wines while taking my breath away by proposing with the ring of my dreams,” says Nicole about Anthony. “A personal photographer was there to capture the moment while our private butler prepared our first course. It was the engagement of my dreams coming from the man of my dreams!”

Details of the Day

“Our theme was one of royal elegance that matched the beauty of our wedding venue,” says Nicole. They had soft hints of pink, whites and off-whites. Their florist offered an assortment of breathtaking roses, hydrangeas, eucalyptus and ferns.

Choosing the Venue 

“My husband and I are proud of our heritage and both come from traditional Italian backgrounds with big families who, much like ourselves, appreciate an elegant ballroom venue that sits on a beautiful landscape and offers an abundance of mouthwatering refreshments,” says the bride.

“We looked no further than The Venetian in Garfield. From the amazing and unlimited assortments of seafood, steaks, antipasto and dinner selections to the refreshing and delicious drinks, The Venetian holds a high standard atop the many beautiful venues that New Jersey has to offer that still has our guests in awe to this day.”

Favorite Moment

“The magical kiss we shared after walking down the aisle where my husband perfectly executed the dip,” says Nicole. “What could make a girl happier than to capture the picture of her dreams with the man of her dreams on her special day?”

Advice for Other Couples 

“The best advice we both would give is to savor every moment and soak in all the day has to offer because it is true what they say—it goes so fast,” says Nicole.

“We were a bit anxious before, as are most, and it is completely normal, but do know that it is truly a glorious day and you must encapsulate yourself in every second and just think to yourself: This day belongs to us, we worked so hard to create this beautiful day and now that it’s finally here with the person of my dreams, I couldn’t be happier.”

Honeymoon 

Nicole and Anthony spent eight beautiful days on the tropical island of Aruba and indulged in the vast scenery, water and land activities, day and night life, shops and diverse cuisines the island had to offer.
