Hillary and Tommy tied the knot September 8, 2022 at Perona Farms in Andover. They originally met in Jersey City, when they both happened to be at the restaurant Gringos for brunch.
“We were sitting at tables next to one another, and briefly stuck up conversation,” she says. “I excused myself to go to the restroom, and upon my return, my sister was sitting at his table—the rest is history!”
Tommy planned an afternoon of golf at their country club, Spring Brook Country Club in Morristown. At the 9th hole, while Hillary was teeing up her ball, Tommy got down on one knee. “I turned around and was absolutely speechless,” she says.
“When we saw it, it just fit,” Hillary says of Perona Farms, which is set on a sprawling estate on Perona Lake.
The couple used simple flowers in white and blush with lots of greenery. Their ceremony arch was covered in greenery, including eucalyptus, and hydrangeas, Hillary’s favorite flower.
After a farm-to-table-inspired menu of steak or fish, guests enjoyed an “incredible” cake from A Little Cake, which was decorated with edible flowers that complemented Hillary’s bouquet.
Bridesmaids wore soft, dusty blues.
Hillary bought her Maison Signore gown at Kleinfeld after trying “on more dresses than I could count.”
She immediately fell in love with this “sophisticated, sexy, but still super classy” dress with a slit and pleats in the front.
“Saying our vows to one another. It was so special and so heartfelt,” says Hillary. “Also when we snuck away doing cocktail hour to have a private first dance to Garth Brooks’ ‘The Dance.'”
“The flowy, romantic feel. My flowers characterized that perfectly: sophisticated yet simple.”
“It goes quick! Enjoy every moment of it. Take a second to actually talk to your partner and soak in that moment together.”
“also, sneak way for that private dance!”
The couple vacationed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, saying at Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
