Natalia and Anthony at Park Chateau Estate & Gardens

Posted on January 30, 2020 by New Jersey Bride

The First Day:
Natalia and Anthony were married on Wednesday September 25, 2019. The couple were married at Cathedral Basilica of Scared Heart in Newark and then enjoyed an over-the-top cocktail reception with 375 guests at nearby Nanina’s in the Park, a premiere wedding venue owned by the bride’s family.
“We chose September 25 because it was the wedding anniversary of Anthony’s late parents and its as a special way to remember them,” Natalia says.

How they met
For this family, life truly came full circle. All four of Anthony Luberto and Natalia Maurillo’s parents grew up in the same town and were Nutley High School graduates. Coincidentally, the groom became best friends with the bride’s cousins and was always considered part of the family. Through the years, Natalia and Anthony also became friends.
“As time went on, we developed a secret crush on each other, but neither of us would admit it.” Natalia says. In 2017, they finally had their first date.

How they got engaged
Amid amazing views, Anthony, 28, an insurance and real estate broker, proposed to Natalia, 26, at Rockefeller Center’s Rainbow Room in a private space with a pathway of flowers, a two-piece duo, champagne and caviar. It was Mother’s Day, May 13 2018, the one year anniversary of the couple’s first official dinner with Natalia’s parents.

The first venue
The small cocktail reception after the wedding ceremony was at Nanina’s in the Park, where the couple turned the venue into a lounge-like atmosphere.

Details of the day
Part of the bar atmosphere included an incredible champagne wall, extravagant centerpieces along the bar and plenty of seating options. There was also a pretzel stand for guests to munch on, including pretzels made in the shape of Natalia and Anthony’s nicknames

All about the gown
Natalia’s first dress was a sleek, white, V-neck gown with a bow on the back of it from Pnina Tornai from Kleinfeld Bridal.

The Second Day:
The following Saturday, September 28, all 375 guests reconvened at Park Chateau Estate and Gardens for a second wedding ceremony, formal cocktail reception, dinner and after-party.

The second venue
The venue wowed in a chic palette of white, gold and black. During their outdoor ceremony, the couple exchanged vows under a floral-adorned archway on the property. Nearby, in the on-site chapel, guest were served champagne as music played.

What was on their menu
After the ceremony, 16 stations throughout the estate offered appetizers (including carved three-pound lobster tails) and entrées (Dover sole, filet mignon and stuffed chicken), a wine bar, tequila bar, martini bar, and everyone’s favorite- an ice-carving bar with Cristal Champagne and imported caviar.

Details of the day
During the reception, a tented #LUVberto (their hashtag) lounge was created off the ballroom with bourbon and scotch bars, and the veranda room was transformed into a cool nightclub for a two-hour after-party. The event was black-tie, so the family offered guests complimentary tuxedo rentals from Men’s Wearhouse. In addition, the couple had installed new white carpet over the existing carpeting, a white acrylic dance floor, white stage and white flowers to achieve an all-white color scheme. The night ended with a surprise firework show for guests to enjoy. Guests called it the best wedding ever.
“My father has always said that he had 26 years to plan my wedding, so it would be a very special event,” Natalia says.

All about the gown
The bride’s second dress was a mermaid-style all-lace gown with sheer fabric along the back.

Their favorite moments
The first look. It meant a lot for Natalia and Anthony to have private time together before the night started. Another special moment was being introduced for the first time as husband and wife into the ballroom full of family, friends and festive sparklers.
