How did you meet?
We have known each other pretty much our whole life. We grew up together, went to the same middle school and high school, and hung out with the same group of friends but were always close friends. It wasn’t until much later that we started dating.

How did you get engaged?
Gabriel planned the most amazing proposal in Seville, Spain. We love to travel and explore so when he mentioned our plans for the day I didn’t think anything of it. The first stop was Plaza De España, a beautiful plaza covered in Spanish tile. He kept rushing to get there while I just wanted to stroll and enjoy the walk. When we finally got there, we walked over to one of the bridges in the plaza. He suggested I look out over the bridge for a picture, and when I turned around he was on one knee asking me to marry him! He even found a local photographer to hide and capture the moment. I was shocked that he had this all planned and had no idea. It was perfect!

Details of the day!
We had a two-year engagement and originally had planned a destination wedding. Unfortunately, my father got sick two months before our wedding date and we ended up having to cancel. After waiting for so long we still wanted to keep our original date. We decided two weeks before to have an intimate celebration with our parents and siblings.

Why did you choose your venue?
My parents have a good-sized backyard and being that my father wasn’t 100% it was easier to have it in their backyard. My brother built the pergola that we had dinner under which made it even more special.

What was on your menu?
We found Delivering Experiences last minute and thankfully they had our date available. They were amazing! They created a tasting for us a couple of days before and we were able to have a family-style dinner with our picks. Everything they brought out was delicious and fresh.

What was your favorite moment?
My favorite part of the day was that my father was able to be there with us.

One detail you couldn’t live without?
Gabriel did all of the flower arrangements and my bouquet. I always said flowers were the most important part of the day. I showed him my vision and he brought it to life!

Did anything go wrong?
All day it was gloomy and humid. 30 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start, it started down pouring. We already had everything set up and ready to go. Thankfully the pergola had a cover on top that kept everything dry. We pushed thru and had the ceremony with a light drizzle.

Any advice for future brides?
Don’t worry about what others will think. If you want it, do it! Soak in all of the joy and love you will feel that day it’s a wonderful feeling.

Honeymoon Location
Morocco! We will be traveling around Morocco and even glamping in the Sahara desert for a couple of days. We’re so excited and can’t wait!
