How did you meet?
We met in 2010 back in high school. We had the same group of friends, but didn’t talk or like each other at all.
It was a complete surprise in Atlantic City. He proposed on his birthday at his birthday dinner. I planned a fancy dinner for his birthday and I had no idea he hired an event coordinator and was planning the proposal. It was magical. We were set up in a private area of the restaurant, and when dessert came around, it came with donuts (my favorite) and diamonds!
We planned a micro wedding this year with just our families. Due to Covid, we had to postpone our huge wedding until next year. We decided to keep our original date and get married down the Shore on the beach at our Shore house. We kept it simple with lots of pretty white flowers and tulle. We used cool blues and greens to complement the water on the bay. Our linens were cream and pale blue. Our guests got to take home special desserts and goodies!
We love being down the Shore, where you can find us at our Shore house all summer. When Covid hit and we had to postpone, we knew we wanted to keep our date and plan something else for this year. The beach was just perfect and fitting for our intimate ceremony.
Our cake was a vanilla and chocolate cake with chocolate mousse, fresh strawberries and bananas.
My gown was a fit-and-flare, mermaid, satin gown with floral lace appliqué and gorgeous beads. It had a plunging semi-sheer neckline, a low open back with lace and beading, followed by tiny satin buttons down the back. It also had delicate beaded straps and a fluffy plain tulle skirt with an extra-long train.
Seeing my husband’s reaction during our first look! When he saw me he was filled with emotions and tears of joy. So many feels, overwhelming, joy and excitement.
The first look moment. Our whole family was present and it was something I will never forget. It was amazing.
Honestly, no. Nothing was going to ruin the best day of my life.
