Their Story

Meaghan and Rob tied the knot on July 14, 2023 at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone. They initially met on an app and had their first date at one of her favorite restaurants, Grand Vin in Hoboken.

“We had such a great time exploring Hoboken/Jersey City and finding our favorite spots in the early days,” she says.

The Proposal

On a beautiful early-June day, Rob popped the question underneath a tree in a secluded part of Echo Lake Park, where the couple likes to take their dog, Pippa, for walks. “I had set up a picnic under an old tree, and Pippa was there for the big moment too,” he says.

Even Pippa couldn’t contain her excitement; she jumped into the lake afterwards, which Rob says “was very out of character for her.”

Choosing the Venue

The couple says they loved everything about Hamilton Farm Golf Club, from the long drive up to the mansion to the beautiful light-filled reception room.

Details of the Day

An English garden theme featured a color palette of dusty blues and whites, creating an atmosphere of refined beauty.

Flower-wise, there were bright white florals, roses, spray roses, blue hydrangeas, delphinium, ranunculus, tweedia with mix of dark and soft greenery.

The Gown 

Meaghan chose a simple, elegant, strapless gown.

The neckline and detachable train with a bow at the waist were among her favorite elements, adding a touch of individuality to the classic design.

Favorite Moment

For Meaghan, it was the ceremony, especially the walk down the aisle with her dad and seeing Rob, the party on the dance floor, the way the weather miraculously cooperated with us all day long, “and, of course, getting to marry my best friend.”

For Rob, it was “watching Meaghan come down the aisle, hugging my nephew when he got to the altar during the procession, being on the dance floor with all my friends and family, dancing with my mom and, obviously, spending the day celebrating with my wife.”

Advice for Other Couples

Don’t stress and try to enjoy the process.

Go with your gut on big decisions and don’t look back.

Honeymoon

The couple spent their honeymoon in France, Switzerland and Italy.
