How did you meet?
We met at work! We worked in the same department together for three and a half years before we started dating. We actually went to the same college and never crossed paths.

How did you get engaged?
We were in our busiest season at work and Ryan decided we needed a night away to relax and spend time together. We made a reservation at our favorite restaurant in Bethlehem, PA. He proposed while we were walking to see the Christmas lights on Main Street after dinner. I was so busy at work that I didn’t have any time to suspect anything, so it was a complete surprise!

Details of the day!
The men’s suits were gray, and the girls had a pretty blush-tone dress. The dress’s color was called Whipped Apricot by Jenny Yoo. The flowers were made by my sister-in-law and mother-in-law. They made my flower dreams come true! They were pretty white and green bouquets with hydrangeas, ranunculus, peonies, eucalyptus and Ruscus. We found our party favors at Tranquility Farms in Tranquility, NJ. We bought these adorable mini succulents for our guests to take home.

Why did you choose your venue?
We were unable to do the wedding we initially had planned at a different venue due to the pandemic. Ryan and I were struggling to come up with a plan to still get married and celebrate with our closest loved ones in a safe way. Three weeks before the wedding, we found out that NJ upped their outdoor social gathering limit to 25 people, which perfectly fit our immediate families and bridal party! My sister saw that Crossed Keys Estate posted their new elopement package on Instagram for couples in our exact situation. Everything with the venue fell into place so easily, and we planned the whole new wedding in less than three weeks!

What was on your menu?
Due to the pandemic restrictions, we were actually only allowed to have individual snack boxes served at the wedding. Crossed Keys Estate made these boxes so tasty, and our guests loved them! We had a popcorn/pretzel snack box, a charcuterie snack box, and a hummus and crudite snack box. Our cake was made by the venue as well. They offered a funfetti option and it was the best funfetti cake our guests and I have ever had!

All about your gown!
My gown was an A-line dress with a full tulle skirt. I had tried on multiple times before and knew I loved the style of gown but once I tried on my dress at a Stella York trunk show, it fit so perfectly and I knew it was exactly what I wanted.

What was your favorite moment?
Our favorite moment was the first look. It was such a special, intimate moment and I would recommend a first look to any couple who is considering it. My sister and sisters-in-law helped me walk up the pebble path to where Ryan was standing, which was so special. Our photographer got the sweetest pictures of us during this time!

One detail you couldn’t live without?
Dancing! We were so happy to find out that NJ lessened their restrictions even more just three days before our wedding. We were initially thinking we wouldn’t be able to dance at all but because of the lessened restrictions, we were able to have somewhat of a normal celebratory reception.

Did anything go wrong?
Besides having to completely change our plans due to the pandemic, the day was perfect!

First dance song?
“In Case You Didn’t Know,” by Brett Young.

Any advice for future brides?
Go with the flow and don’t get too caught up in the details. You’re marrying your best friend! We made the best of what could have been a very stressful and disappointing time.

Honeymoon:
We went to Cape May. Due to travel restrictions, we had to postpone our originally scheduled honeymoon to Sandals Antigua to next year as a one-year anniversary trip.
