Lisa and Michael’s South Gate Manor Wedding

Details of the day: Details, details, details.. the best part! All those little things that a bride pictures coming together perfectly! My wedding day details were true to my personal style. My dress was simple, I wore diamond studs, my hair down – very minimal as I am day to day! I chose my two favorite colors to wear: navy and gray and since it was June, I decided on a slight pop of color in our bouquets. My ‘something borrowed’ was my belt and veil from my sister, my maid of honor. Your favorite part: I have to choose one part?! There were so many wonderful moments that created our wedding day: spending the morning with my best girlfriends, riding down to Monmouth University on a trolley filled with laughs, sunshine and our bridal party to see my groom for the first time, our picture perfect ceremony but I must say I loved our second dance as husband and wife, yes our second! Our DJ called us back out to reconnect on the dance floor in the middle of the reception. We danced to Van Morrison’s Into the Mystic. By this time, we had some drinks, we were relaxed, we didn’t care who was watching or how the photos were going to come out. We spun and swayed and didn’t take our eyes off each other. Advice for other brides: When the big day arrives, let all the stress and worry from planning go and just have fun! It’s all about you and your husband. This quote was on display at my wedding: “A wedding is a party, not a performance. If at the end of the day, you are married to the one you love, then everything went perfectly.”
