Lindsay and Michael’s at Home Wedding

An Autumn Wedding At Home - New Jersey Bride

“Our wedding was held at my parents farm in Blairstown, NJ. My husband and I put together the whole wedding ourselves, and our friend Lindsay Campbell became our wedding coordinator for the big day. We made every craft for the wedding, from the centerpieces to the altar! The autumn ceremony decor was arranged by Sunnyside Gardens; There were hay stacks, pumpkins, corn stalks, mums and white paper lanterns. It felt like a fall wonderland!”

“The magic began when I entered the meadow on a horse and carriage with my parents by my side. The music (that I had compiled beforehand) was given to our deejay, and once it played it all became real! The cocktail hour was in a smaller tent in my parents backyard, while the reception that followed took place in another larger tent that we decorated with lighting, photos, wood pallets, and pumpkin candles lit everywhere!”

“My dress was country but elegant with a veil to match!  The bridal party wore navy blue and the flowers were a mixture of roses and sunflower arrangements.”

Advice for other brides:

“Do what feels real to you. My husband and I planned our wedding for months, and I don’t regret a minute of that time spent together.  The day of the wedding and afterward, we knew that the entire event truly reflected who we are as people and who we are in love.”
