Lauren and John tied the knot on August 9, 2024, at City Winery Hudson Valley in New York.

Their Story 

Lauren and John met at the Shore in the summer of 2015. After a couple years of friendship, they started dating.

On October 9, 2022, they got engaged at Bear Mountain. It was the same day and place that Lauren’s parents got married and the same place Lauren and John had their first date.

Details of the Day 

“We loved the look of our venue, so we knew we wanted minimal decorations,” says Lauren. “We decided to go with white, green and blush florals to freshen up the space a bit.”

Choosing the Venue

City Winery Hudson Valley checked all the boxes for the couple.

“We immediately fell in love with the industrial look and vineyards,” says Lauren.

“During our first visit, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming! We knew within five minutes that we wanted to get married at City Winery!”

Favorite Moment 

Lauren describes their favorite moment as “being on the dance floor with all of our favorite people! We never left the dance floor.”

Wedding day Attire

John wore a green suit and Lauren’s bridesmaids wore sage green dresses.

As for Lauren’s dress, she says, “I knew I wanted different but subtle looks throughout the night. My dress was amazing because I was able to add puffy sleeves and cap sleeves that hung both on and off my shoulders!”

Her bridal stylist also showed her “gloves that I couldn’t say ‘no’ to,” says the bride. “I wore the gloves during our cake cutting for another look.”

Advice for Other Couples 

Lauren and John’s advice is, “do what makes you both happy! Your wedding day is about you both, enjoy the planning and process, try not to stress about the smaller things.”
